I have a serious question will there be a token cap? and can it be extended in some way? towards the end!

The token limit usually starts at 200 or 250 and then is raised a few times later in the event. We don't know what the current limit is since no one has reached it yet.

Final edit: by dragging the images onto each other I'm now 99% sure it's on the monkey lines

The monkeys are technically just an edit of the chameleon lines, so it would be correct to say its based on both or either. It looks like this one is probably specifically an edit of the monkey lines considering it looks like the lineart for the feet is exactly the same, facing towards the viewer, the curl of the tail, etc. We won't know what it'll be sorted under in the archive till it is.

The summer event usually lasts around 10 days. The game will probably by kept up the whole event if its anything like last year's game.
