I've been having an issue where the banners will not show up for me on the mobile site. The "You've found a hidden prize too recently" banner shows up, but the clickable ones don't seem to be. I'm able to see them once I click on "view full site," though...

Don't believe everything you can read on Tweeter, there are many trolls who just want to fool you! =)

I believe I may have had the same issue earlier. I was able to collect a couple of banners on the mobile site just fine, but at some point they just weren't showing up. I tried going to a bunch of different pages, tried refreshing the same page, none of it worked. Either I was just super unlucky, or there is something wrong. I'm on my computer now though.

Or it could be a staff custom pet... I was so confused the first time I saw one

They'll come in the archives later, archive is run manually by one person and it's not always ready on the same minute. At least tomorrow they should be there

Are there banner pets in this event?

Not currently, but they are usually introduced a few days into the event ^^

Last year we got banner items that could be traded in for an apology note that could be traded for a pet, so there’s also a chance that this year’s banner could give items rather than pets, we’ll have to see.

I’ll make a guess that it’ll be banner items, because banner pets are usually released on the first or second day of the event. But I could be wrong.
