The archives can be slow sometimes. But yeah I'm seeing that people got it from the banner.

If I remember from last year, a stuffed bear was a special token found in banners. It was used to trade in for a special pet.

It could possibly be for something like that, or a really fun/unique trade-in :D I haven't seen any mini games as well (the hamster race from lost city event 2017, duck races from jungle event 2018, or the duck game from the carnival event 2020)

I'm hoping for a fun game!

Huh, it’s weird that the new expressions have different items for the grown and PPS versions, instead of converting. I don’t think there’s any other item set that does that.

I love this event so far :O Pretty neat how we were specifically recruited for this expedition. And now I imagine Ruben's internally like "SHINY NEW UNDISCOVERED THINGS!! .... but ethics" I love it!

Ruben's ethical concerns are more realism than I expected. In fiction, people usually jump straight in without thinking of the possible consequences.
At least the village has had contact with the outside world before. And CS is an innocent child-friendly pet collecting site.
So Freddie and we will probably not end up accidentally killing all villagers because the usual germs we carry around can cause a lethal illness for people whose immune systems aren't used to them.
But with "the whole cavern is the Chamber of Crystals" and looking at Billie the new NPC, who might have been just a normal dog before getting trapped in the cave, I'm wondering if instead of being worried what our influence could do to the locals, we should be thinking about what the cave's influence could do to us.

Speaking of concerns, after both Ruben the scientist and Devon the local said "Don't go further into the cave" I'm having reservations about clicking on the mysterious "???" section of the cave map. It reminds me of characters in horror movies who walk straight into their doom because they don't listen to warnings.
But this is CS - what's the worst that could happen? - famous last words...
