I saw the bolded words in today's releases and figured the top box would for sure have a VR or OMGSR, or at least higher odds of it. So I'm really disappointed to find that my other two were rare, but my top pet was an (at best) uncommon nick chicken from just a few years back. Is there actually any reason why those words in the descriptions are highlighted?

I saw you already found out about your Nick egg being better than uncommon, so yes the bold text gives you an idea what to expect.

I know some people like to adopt Dec 18th pets off account, and obviously the pets can't be traded or anything. Is it purely for the sake of being able to adopt on Dec 18th twice? Like for the thrill of it?

No, it doesn't matter, it is just like adopting normal monthly pets. ^^
You can still adopt those on the last day of the month and still be able to get all outcomes.

i'm hoping this is the correct place to ask about this. i was an active player a long while ago and recently wanted to start playing again (yesterday is when i made my acc) bc i had no memory of what my old user/password was. i was excited bc that meant i could just manage to grab the dec 18 pets to start off- only to figure out that i couldn't. is there any way around this as i'm a legitimate player who happened to join too soon for the protection range without knowing?

i definitely get it if not bc of the number of ppl who create new accs just to get more rares, just wanted to know if it was at all possible just bc i managed to join at the WORST time.
