where is every one getting those foxes and cats from? are they on a time limited thing? ive clicked every house and have only been able to collect the horses

This thread lists every outcome and where you get it from^^
For the foxes, go to Griseldis' house and trade in herbs.
For the cats (newborn) go to Karlmann's house to trade herbs for milk, then go to Gerlind's home and do the milk + herb trade-in.
For the adult cats with the fuzzy fur, trade in milk at Gernot's home.

Summer Events sometimes do have banner pets^^ However, banner pets and non-token items are often added during random times of the day, not necessarily at rollover, and not always starting at day 1.
So it's possible we will get banner pets, but it's not a guarantee. We haven't had them for every single summer event, so we'll have to wait and see c:

(sorry if this is too speculative of a question to belong here, but I'm curious)

Notker = Fae entity or changeling?
He seems to know an awful lot about the so-called fairy doings, and from some things he's said it can be inferred that he is not a villager and both can see the faeries, knows them and has created magical animals such as jackalopes (and had extra antlers to spare).
Is he a possible antagonist? or maybe just a fun neutral npc

For now it's just a fun distraction that doesn't do anything else. But usually the schenanigans that happen are in some way mentioned during the story of the event later on in one way or another. And last year towards the end of the event you were able to receive a type of token at a set time interval for participating. We'll have to wait and see if anything like that happens this year c: So far it's just to entertain us.
