Also is it just me or are the banners spitting out animal eggs a lot now? I’ve gotten about 3 animal eggs in under an hour

yes ; events always have banner limits : )

personally ive had a bunch of animal eggs, im pretty last night i got 5 in like,,, 2 or 3 hours. its a lot for me compared to before in the event thats for sure. whether its on purpose or not though idk

It's just a limit, to make sure the more avid banner hunters among us don't go completely overboard :P (It's more necessary than some people think, aha. The one event that never had a limit, the Medieval Faire 2011, still has banner pets that aren't rare after 10 years, and it took the token pets over 8 years too until all of them were finally rare.)
You'll see a note at the bottom of your page when you hit it, so you know that you won't be able to find any more banners.^^

Ah ok. I thought there was no limit and have thought about the mass amounts of these pets there would be out there cause so many tokens and thought would be a bit weird. But it makes sense now.


If I don’t get any more animal eggs I’ll get exactly 100 tokens left over if the limit is 300. Cool

The limit is still pretty high towards the end of events, yeah!^^ It's important to make sure people can't gather too many tokens, but of course they should also still be rewarded for doing that much hunting.
Unless I miscounted, it requires 118 tokens to get every pet and item outcome if you have perfect luck with the boxes (or are very determined about swapping doubles), so someone who hits the limit still has plenty of spare tokens to buy a whole bunch of extras.

edit: I don't know how I managed to typo this post twice but if you saw this when it said 108 then no you didn't, ssshhh

edit2: someone who can do math please help me, ive counted 3 times and gotten a different number each time. is it 118? i dont have enough braincells to do numbers actually

✿ -- I got 120 + 7 for the animal eggs? In case anyone's interested:
3 x 3 for the cows
2 x 3 for the butterfly items (there's 9 and you get 3 per box)
3 x 4 for the butterfly wolves
3 x 5 for the mystery eggs
2 x 3 for the animal items (there's 8 and you get 3 per box)
3 x 4 for the guinea pigs
19 bunnies, 16 of which are 3 tokens each and 3 are 4 tokens each
and there are 7 animal eggs!

I'm pretty happy with the way the event went.
I completed my event item and pet collection, including the animal eggs, even completed my small cow hoards. Despite helping out a friend aiming to finish her collection, I still have almost 50 tokens left to collect and trade away. This event went pretty well, I'm really really happy.

I've gotten almost everything I wanted so I'm considering my options for using up any remaining tokens I get in between idly refreshing for banners and forgetting that it's been 20 minutes more like 2 hours now... oops.

Currently thinking of getting some extra token bunnies, maybe the Day 6 box egg-bunnies too.

ohh I think the animal item box is the culprit!
I had previously only traded in for it exactly once, and gotten 3 different items with a double of one. I'd simply assumed you got 4 and I simply had bad luck with the double. But that's every trade-in, is it?

edit: or not LOL seriously it took me five trade-ins to get a haul with 4 different items. I do have bad luck, evidently.
