i think they mean to mark the 17th as the day to be on alert right when rollover happens.

I'm so hyped as well! It's my first Christmas on CS (literally every event is new to me since I only joined earlier this year)
I do really like these ratties though, I don't think I could pick a favorite since they're all very charming.
