all this talk about dec. 18 has got me nervous ;w; i'm trying not to get my hopes up about obtaining a highly valuable pet (not to even mention the possibility of receiving a UR !!) but it's tough, haha. either way, i know it'll be fun ^^

i'm also hoping for more advent items soon! i love the pets but i also love trying to dress them up <3

Not expecting much this year for the 18th, especially since I got lucky last year lol. still can't wait, it's awesome seeing the community all excited!!

On the 18 do you just get rares or are there some unlucky people who just get old uncommons?

The Dec 18th giveaway gives you a random chance of adopting pets from earlier months/years, but it's not a guarantee that you'll get a Very Rare from 2008 or 2009, you might just get Rares from 2014.



Personally, I've never gotten lower than a rare, but on December 18th you are given the newborns of older pets(if they have a newborn stage). So, it is technically possible to get a newborn that has the chance to grow into an uncommon, and it was included in the re-release due to it having a rare or very rare outcome. I can't recall if I've seen anyone's newborns actually grow into an uncommon, but I'm sure it's just as likely to grow into any of it's outcomes regardless of rarity.
Maybe someone can clarify this better ^^;

If you get a pet that has uncommon littermates it's guaranteed to grow into the rare version. I can't find the post, but I asked staff last year for the 18th.
