That's totally me.
I usually have really bad luck, but the one outcome I got that wasn't a butterfly wolf just so happened to be the cocoon.
Getting the caterpillar was fairly easy as well.
This luck won't last, I'm using up all my luck before the 18th!

OMG YES!!

It makes me feel really good because I am not a big trader so I don't have many rares or even uncommons.

On the 18 do you just get rares or are there some unlucky people who just get old uncommons?

The Dec 18th giveaway gives you a random chance of adopting pets from earlier months/years, but it's not a guarantee that you'll get a Very Rare from 2008 or 2009, you might just get Rares from 2014.



Personally, I've never gotten lower than a rare, but on December 18th you are given the newborns of older pets(if they have a newborn stage). So, it is technically possible to get a newborn that has the chance to grow into an uncommon, and it was included in the re-release due to it having a rare or very rare outcome. I can't recall if I've seen anyone's newborns actually grow into an uncommon, but I'm sure it's just as likely to grow into any of it's outcomes regardless of rarity.
Maybe someone can clarify this better ^^;

I don't know if I just got really lucky or not, but I got a newborn (dog newborn) one year that had a 2 in 3 chance of becoming uncommon, but it became rare. Again, not sure if it was luck or programming. I don't think I've ever gotten any uncommons from December 18th. Maybe someone could ask on the Ask the Staff thread about that, because I'm pretty curious to know. (Oh man though, if it is possible to get uncommons, then I feel really bad for those unlucky few that get uncommons)
