Just managed to get the butterfly wolf eggo from the banner so now I have almost completed the Easter Event. (I missed 1 of the 2nd gen butterfly wolves, but I should be able to swap for it.)

What should I spend the extra tokens I get on? Should I spend them at all?

I'm disappointed in the animal egg amount this year. i was hoping for more

I'm really happy there aren't many eggs, because it means I was able to get 2/5 despite starting the event today. xD 5 seems like a lot to me though...? I guess it's slightly less than recent years.

I usually try to grab the popular bunnies for two reasons. The mystery token pets are probably more abundant than the bunnies because you might adopt a lot of them in hopes that you get the outcomes yourself, rather than having to swap for them. With the token bunnies, you know exactly what you're getting, so it's less likely that people get duplicates unless they really like the design. You also have to consider whether people will want the pet later; if lots of people like a design, it will probably be easier to trade (conversely if people like it a lot they might hoard it, though). This is arguably a very small margin of difference, so I pick popular designs as a better long-term investment. Usually all token pets end up rare so I don't worry too much about hoarders shifting the rarity.
