The colouring on all the scorpions today is amazing! It's also fun to see a mixture of natural and fantastic colours. My favourite is the sunset coloured one

Finally we got scorpions again, and their lineart got even updated! They look so beautiful!

Did it? I feel ally other scorpions still look the same (basically modified spider line art). About the only difference I see between these and the others is a lack of eyes and 'smooth' claws as opposed to the 'jagged' looking ones of other scorpions.

Either way, it's nice to see these guys again!

hi! i run a thread to help people block images of pets they find scary or triggering. i have the instructions for use on both computer and phone here. and an updated list of the spider/scorpion image url's to block from appearing

i personally have the green, black, and black and orange outcomes and have effectively removed images of them from your groups, trades, and the archive when it's updated. this will not remove the pet from any groups. ive also added the images of all outcomes from the daily event outcome thread

posting about it here because two of my friends have an intense spider phobia and i instantly update it for them. figured id share for those who feel the same

It is completely redone! Thicker bodies to preserve a little more of the original lineart so I could add more to other areas. The tail is totally remade. The mouthparts and claws are totally redone too. And the shading is new! xD but I think it's a testament to success that it still looks enough like the original modification that it's comparable!

I am so unbelievably excited! thank you staff artists for bringing them back and giving them such a lovely lineart update.

Putting them side by side (and with two of similar colors), now I see the difference a lot better.

Amazing job, although I can't decide if I like the more realistic look better than the (lack of a better teem) cartoony one.

Is there anything in particular they are based on/inspired by? I'm guessssing Black Sand scorpion for the brown/black one, and Deathstalker for the yellow one, though there are a few species that look similar.

The green one reminds me of the “glow in the dark” effect, scorpions have under black lights!!
