It wouldn't technically be a rare mutation, it would just be a rare recessive gene C: If you get into genetics, there is a possibility of one not having wings if one of the parents passed down a recessive gene of not having wings. It's rare but it's still there and would most likely be there because one of the parents of the parents did not have wings or had ancestors who did not have wings and were just carriers throughout the family tree. But since we don't know the parents of the parents and these pets were just created by artist choice, we won't know until they grow up whether or not they have wings.
