2024 Summer Event: Casual Chat

really happy i caught the summer event this year, and the theme is so fun too <3
makes me want to play around with some of my pet dress ups and theme them for the event

Since I'm working on a fantasy western, I thought I'd do dress ups of some of the characters!

I've seen complaints about natural colored pets, but this is what I enjoy a lot

Natural coloured pets are my favourite pets here on Chicken Smoothie, always have been. I'm so glad we've got a bunch of them!

Just wanted to add to this, but another thing I think kinda adds to the appeal is the consistency of colorschemes.

Because it's the wild west, we get a sepia thing going on. The colors of metals, wood, dry desert ground... things like that.

A similar event I can think of is the 2018 Jungle Event. Many of the pets were based on exotic foliage or real-life species, which meant natural colors of plants or animal markings, with most of the bright colors coming from pets themed after parrots, reptiles or insects.

We have a lot of "natural colored" pets right now, which will probably be the majority of the theme, but there's bound to be some more "colorful" pets as well (similar to aforementioned 2018).

If anyone is disappointed with the colors so far, we still have a lot of time to see what other pets we'll get from this event.

just got my 100th banner! I'm doing so well on banner collecting this event (bc I'm on my computer studying 24/7) but I am worried about hitting the banner limit so early haha!

Its been a few events since I hit the banner limit so I'm looking forward to making this event (which might be my favorite summer event on CS ever) a banner-limit hit event!

Once the saloon is open I would love to get a saloon/bar set items. It will go great with a OC of mine.

That being said I low key wish we had this event when I was invested in West World. During that time we had the internet event going on.

im only at 53 banners right now... could be doing worse but the Eepiness has taken hold of me lately + i've been working on art and irl stuff... still ive been doing good keepin up with pets! ive found just sitting on the sidelines of the swap thread is far less stressful LOLLL
