I'm sorry for this stupid question. Though today we got the same exact pets (or at least I think) for the individual day pets such as the owls and squirrels, but today it was a litter adopt and I was wondering. Are these different pets or the same 1 day individual pets we had throughout the event?

They're the same - we got the chance to get any of the previous owls/squirrels. ^^

What does the 'no splits' bit mean on the deer litter adopt mean? Is it just to say that each unique baby will grow up to a single adult form, instead of branching off to multiple possible adult forms?

Yeah it's like a regular 2nd gen set, you get random adopts from it, not guaranteed to get the whole set.

It means that each deer will only grow into one outcome, there won't be a deer that has multiple different final outcomes to grow into (often called "splits")

It doesn't seem like it was rare, but yes it came from the same drop as the plushies!
