Candy Summer Event Discussion Thread V3

I had all the event pets, and had doubles of both the Alicorn,
Lolipig, ect. Since I had doubles, I assumed they'd only be
uncommon, especially with all the hoarders and the fact it
appears to be more common than the Jokercoon Tail? Also,
does anyone else find it strange so many pets ended up rare?
All the other summer events had many uncommons, which
remain uncommon up to today

Hoarding has nothing to do with the rarity though... owo;;

I actually don't think it's strange, I saw many people who didn't like the pets that much so they only used their tokens to get everything once and then stopped collecting.

For me, I try not to get extra event pets anymore (extras tend to become more pests than pets with all the poor trades that come for them >.>) and candy just isn't my thing, so I mostly just traded in enough to get one of each pet, swapped for the ones I missed and kept the rest of my tokens for items. I think quite a few people were doing the same thing, too, so it does seem there weren't a huge amount of tokens being traded in overall.

The licorice pony really surprises me though - with the number of people going for that specific trade-in seeking the alicorn, I would have expected all those pets to be uncommon at best like in previous years. Also surprised the pistachio Turkish delight kitten is only uncommon with how hard it seemed to find at the time and that they were a later addition.

I'm not ever so surprised with the turkish delight kitten, as when I started trying for them, I got about 5 of them on the first few tries and it annoyed me to a point I could have broken my screen, haha!
I'm surprised the alicorn has the same rarity as the black licorice pony though ! O_O

Also I thought the white gummy hamster would be rarer than the others, especially the red one. ;; omg so many surprises
but i'm happy, I've never owned so many rares! hehe

Ah, I meant that with the amount of people hoarding the pets
it seems that the pet is quite plentiful. I'm also pretty sure hoarding
helps demand, though. Since it constrict the circulation of that
one pet, no? Wow, I get off topic. I'm talking about demand
and rarity on a candy pet discussion. ^^;

Anyway, that would make a good explanation for the large amount of
rares, though I still find it surprising, I even find that statement
surprising. cx

All of the friends I talked to were pumped about having a candy based
event, even though I was disappointed it wasn't about camping :c (cx).

I usually collect doubles just to trade off. Especially if the pet has
high demand or are rares. And since the event had a lot of rares,
it means a lot more valuable for the trading folder. Yup, I'm that
kind of person cx

The fact that people didn't trade in that much tokens actually
makes quite a bit more sense about the rarities. Since previous
events, I guess, were more appealing, more people traded in
tokens leading to less valuable pets.

I also thought the white hamster was also going to end up rarer
than the others. On the summer event swap thread, everyone
was blowing up the thread (slight exaggeration) with
'seeking; White hamster' posts.

So your rare huh, makes me feel so happy i gave all the spares i got of you away or for a fair swap of the pets.How did the hammies, all the hammys, become rare? not suprized with the three rats, i dont think many would of traded for them.

the rarities have been released for the sucrose event pets, and I'm so surprised! the ones that surprised me the most were the gummy hamsters, being that ALL of them were rare... the baby choctopi and the candy alicorn were rare, but that was expected I was just bored so i announced this so other people could see the rarities as well if they didn't know they were up!

I was going to give up on at one point in the last pet I had needed that was the minty octo then my other half kept telling me that I would get it so several trades later the had not gone through I finnally had got a asscepted trade now im glad I actually got one of each of them at least but not becquse rarity its because it was my first summer event but I was really suprised to find that the one he thought where going to be rare actuqlly where rare

I think I figured out why so many pets turned rare. But I'm reluctant to say it cause I might get more UR fruit flung in my direction. Though it is pretty obvious if you think about it..
