december 22nd was a second december 18th that happened in 2010 because on the actual 18th there was a mix-up with numbers iirc and less rare pets were released so the 22nd was to balance it out and i think two rereleases were available for adoption? i thought it was on the 24th though haha

lucky for me since that year i got a ur malk on the 18th of december :')

In 2010 there were two separate adoption boxes: a regular 18th box and a specific Malk adoption box. This is where the UR Malk came from.

The time you're thinking of was 2011 - there was a calculation error and so fewer pets were re released than intended. The staff added another 2-pet adoption rerelease box on the 24th of December to make up for it.

Sorry to dash y'all's hopes, but December 18, 2011 was nothing like all other rereleases. The amount of seriously rare pets that were rereleased was ACTUALLY ridiculously low. :'D Every year, a lot of us get frustrated because it seems like everyone else is getting Lists and stuff, right? Not on December 18, 2011. The lucky people actually seemed lucky. Prompted a few people to go adopt a ton of off-account pets to see if the rates matched what people were seeing in the main discussion thread and someone made a thread in the Help forum about it to discuss what was going on.

You guys made me dig through my posts to see what I got in 2011, and I guess I was one of the lucky people lol. I got a Bone PPS and a Santa Rat on the 18th, and I can't find my full haul from the 24th but it apparently included a January 09 VR from that leopard print litter.

I'm really excited for the last few gifts now, though! I can't wait to see what species we'll get reindeer of this year.
I'd really love chickens (because of course I do), but... maybe guinea pigs? That'd be cute, too. Though we also haven't had reindeer lions yet...
