The amount of rare event pets we got this time is actually really high.
Usually we don't have so many event pets being rare right from the start, this time it's 18.
This tells us that, if anything, pets from this event are worth MORE than other event pets were so soon after their release.

Again - pets get rarer as time goes on. It has always been like that.
I can't remember a single non-UR event pet that was VR from the beginning.

Exactly. Even the st patty's dragon started out rare. That's not technically an event pet but its the closest I could think of that came close to starting out vr...was rare for a month. xD

No wonder we got so many rare pets with so many people keeping their tokens ^^; *cough* I myself kept 124 items and I managed to get to the limit which was 280? That's more than 40% of all the token I could get. And from what I see here, some kept even more.
So yes, very understandable. ^^;

Yes, espically the rat tokens.

But I also think it has to do with the cost of pets. Pets in this event seemed to require more tokens for less pets. Maybe it's just me thinking that though as I don't have the amounts to check against previous years.

Mh nah, the cost was okay, 2-4 token per pet. It just seemed more, because on Easter and Halloween we usually only trade tokens in for 1 pet. Now we had to trade in 5-6 tokens for 2 pets, but it's all the same. ;3

Still, the amount of so many different cool tokens is definitely a reason. I kept each token about 3 times. n_n

The rarities depend on how many pets were adopted compared to the number of users, they cant just make a pet very rare, it wouldn't be fair.

so you care about rarity more than their designs?
I prefer their designs, they're beautiful, especially the blue dog with white stars, I love it. Whatever their rarities, I care their designs more.

The only "flaw" I see is that too many pets are rare to begin with. I would have been seriously confused if there had been very rares among them too! That just doesn't happen.

I was quite surprised at the number of event rares. I didn't have problems getting any of the pets or items so I assumed at most they'd be uncommon. -Shrug- Works for me though since I have one of each pet and item, not that I'll break the set and trade them away, mind you.

I had a lot of fun with the event, I got some good pets for my tokens. I'm surprised how many people dread trading during events.
