2024 Summer Event: Pet, Item & Event Discussion

Now I want to post all my favorite pets from the event!! There’s a lot of them so it’s going to be a long post.

I’m so happy we were able to adopt Flux and Major <3 They’re so cute, I love them so much <3 Flux is probably my favorite pet of the whole event.

The snail hamsters are my favorite banner token pets and here they are lined up from my most to least favorite. I like the design and they were also released on my birthday!! I can’t express how much I love them. I wish I could have 200 of them but I’ll settle for about 50 I guess. It’s my first time really going all out on a token pet hoard (and I might have regrets) but I can’t resist.

The snakes are my favorite root beer token pets and I can’t get over how prefect they are and how they’re more than anything I hoped for with realistic wild west snakes. The realistic plants and snakes are just so good!! I’m so happy with them, they’re my favorite snakes of the whole year and some of my favorite snakes ever!! I’m just so happy I’m participating in the event so I can hoard a bunch of them.

These caterpillars are really close runner-ups to the snail hamsters for my favorite banner token pets. I just love the caterpillar lines and I’m really happy we got them in this event. I wrote so much, can you believe I wrote this all on mobile lol.

My fourth favorite litter was the rat armadillos, and I really like the moon one. I just think they look so charming and I like that there’s both realistic and fantasy designs.

Some miscellaneous outcomes that I really liked. There’s not enough room here but I also really liked the day 1 rats, the day 2 bunnies, the realistic chickens, and the coyote butterfly wolves.

And a special mention to the cowboy hat cats, my favorite of the free adopts. I just love them so much <3

i know its supposed to be sitting on a gold ingot but my food centered mind cant help but see it as a block of caramel with some melted caramel drizzled on the pet, guess im a bit hungry rofl!

I loved the event a lot!! The wild west theme was so cool and we got so many cool pets. That said, I do have some complaints.
(These look like a lot of complaints, I am sorry. I still really liked the event! Just because I liked it doesn’t mean there isn’t parts I don’t like.)
-All that talk about the train and we got NO train-themed items or pets??!
-I didn’t like the sorry that much but that’s just my personal tastes. I just didn’t really like the reckless riders I guess.
-I can’t get over the car in the outskirts, it really bothers me lol. It’s the wild west, why is there a car?? I thought I would get over it but I never did.
-Some of the NPCs’ outfits didn’t seem very “wild west” to me. I get they’re working with the items chicken smoothie already had, but some of them just seemed anachronistic to me? Like it doesn’t really matter but it bothered me.
-I really liked the badger and the pronghorn pet but I’m still sad we only got one pronghorn and no PPS pronghorn!! Also there doesn’t seem to be a way to get an extra of the pronghorn or badger? I don’t like that, are they trying to make an outcome that’s impossible to get for anyone that missed the event? I know not everyone cares about a complete collection but come on.

Now to make this long post even longer lol because this next part really should be its own post but you can’t post back to back lol.

Yay!! I finally got the last pet I was missing yay!!! I’ve completely completed the event!!!

That’s a good point about no train pets or items. That would’ve been perfect!
I’m personally bummed that we didn’t get covered wagons and harnesses, and prairie dresses and bonnets.
But I guess there are so many aspects of the Wild West it’s hard to cover everything. There are so many animals, plants, themes, objects, culture, etc.
The mods’ explanation for the car was that Flux tried to sculpt something he dreamed about lol. I’ll take it!

I don't care how illogical or whatever it might be, but am I the only one wanting another 2nd gen Summer Event pairing litter from these two?

I mean, we got the one of Archie and Cleo (Egypt event 2013, and the litter is April 2015)..why not these two?

I was thinkin the same. This is like... probably my favorite pet from the event too :sob: I was hoping we'd get more like we did with the horses

A free pet from an event has never ended up very rare (I don't recall any free event pets that were even rare at time of release, though I may just not be remembering them, certainly none that were single-adopts though). There have been times when everyone only gets one of a pet and they always end up in the uncommon range. I'd expect something similar for this. Especially since its been available to be grabbed for the entire event and not just one one day.

For example, the cthulhu pet from the internet event was a free single-adoption and also wasn't made available until the end of the event, and still ended up being extremely uncommon rather than rare+.

Do you think Flux&Major will end up VR?

I highly doubt it considering the above since everyone was guaranteed a love letter from the banner, though I suppose its possible they could end up rare if a significant number of people never bother to trade in tokens and only collect free adopts (and thats not even taking into account that people can get multiple lover letters from the banner so I'm still doubtful)

Does anyone else feel like this event ended really quickly? Last year it lasted like three weeks.

Yeah, I feel that way, too, even though others showed it's not the case. I do always feel that way, though.
