OH my god today's fennec. The PPS is one of my favourites, but this adult is amazing. I love that little leaf curl on the head!

I agree. The information was right there, impossible to miss, if you adopted with care and read the text that was written next to, above, or below the release. ETA: Staff should be able to verify that point once and for all.

And yay! The GUPPS litter! I’m so happy. <3 I will admit, there were some I were hoping to see tonight that we didn’t get, but my goodness are there some gorgeous outcomes tonight.

I am almost relieved that we did not get any of the GUPPS that I had been hoping for, because we have got sooooo many gorgeous RPPS pets this year that I could not possibly deal with any more gorgeousness, especially because any gorgeousness usually ends up in a new hoard with me. That is not to say that this year's GUPPS pets are not lovely, but they are not my favourite designs/outcomes.

Even I didn't see you could adopt multiple times. Not ANYWHERE on the box or in the info could you really see that you could get from the box multiple times without looking carefully.

I mean, they could have given it to us in a few boxes if they couldn't do it all in one box, but how on EARTH were we supposed to know that something that never happens (a box being able to be opened more than once) was going to be a thing?

Just to be fair to the staff: This was not the first time that a box could be adopted more than once, and information was given, although I don't remember whether the text was written next to, above, or below the box. In fact, the "20 times" was the first thing my eyes fell upon, even before looking at the actual box.

I was on my phone and I have a life as I'm sure you do as well. I literally had time to jump on hit adopt and log off. AT A STOPLIGHT going from 1 job to the other.

In my opinion, that's just part of the learning curve on Chicken Smoothie. It happens once, and next time you know you need to be more careful when adopting. I'm not trying to be patronising, LadyImzadi, I hope it doesn't come across that way. I've had my fair share of experiences from which I've learnt on CS as well. <3

Whoa, this is starting to get a little cray-cray. I’m not saying their whining was completely justified, but could we cut those who missed it just a little bit of slack?

Yeah, truthfully, when you get down to it, it was your fault guys. Just being honest. I get it though. Most of the text description with the boxes leading up until now has been of little importance, except for the 18th...which most assumed wouldn’t get read either thus, there were warnings in signatures here and there.

I didn’t notice, and wouldn’t have realized if I hadn’t come to this thread. I believe it was something along the lines of:


“Today’s gift is from X (forgot, sorry! I love the blankets though). You can adopt it 20 times! Phew!”


Anyways, what I’m saying, is this really worth getting into this silly squabble over? It happened guys, can’t change it. Things are starting get nasty over something that’s, imo, pretty petty.

But then again, you know, I’ll admit, if I had missed it, I would probably be upset too. So why don’t we try to open our perspectives a little bit, instead of being insulting. I don’t think any of us would have liked to miss out on getting as many as we can. I have some extra sets that I will try to distribute evenly. <3

And also, a small suggestion that might help prevent this from unfolding in the future? When you click to get multiple item outcomes like that, perhaps it should take you to a page similar to the way it is with pets, where you can select the adopt limit, etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I imagine that the reason it isn't already done like this is that it isn't possible due to items not having separate IDs the same way pets do. In theory you could instead just give out one big gift with all the sets in one, but that ruins the fun a bit.

Personally, I don't think the box will or should be reopened - the info was right on the page and it was fair game for everyone - but this many people having missed it is a sign that it's not a flawless feature and should probably be reevaluated on CS' end.

Gah they're just so perfect. That's the main GUPPS I was hoping for and they certainly didn't disappoint!

Waitwaitwait can someone jog my memory? Because for some reason I'm not remembering any Advent gift box with items that we could adopt more than once. The closest I'm remembering are "grab bag"-type boxes where the stuff we got was randomized (and I'm guessing that the randomizing can currently only be done on a per-item basis and not a per-set basis, hence why we had to adopt the box multiple times ourselves)...
