Shoot- sorry about that! Just reread the rules and I missed that the first time! (Skimming has become my downfall)
I’m actually impressed with myself for missing that when I was deliberately looking for those rules. Jeez.
Anyway- this is my first summer event with CS, I love the layout even if it is confusing- and I love the designs I’ve seen so far!

That one is the adult version of a Brazilian Tapir c: Someone labelled them all correctly as confirmed here.
The guinea pigs are based off cloud rats.

I might as well clarify this, while working on the okapi lineart I did lots of research for okapi photos to use as references. As I made my reference collage, though, I noticed some of them had extremely dark coat and minimal white([x], [xx]), while others showed the more common red coat with very contrasting light colors on areas of softer skin like the face and underbelly([x], [xx]). I found that super interesting and decided to show this coat variety too... and then I added a leucistic okapi just for fun XD. As far as I know no leucistic/white okapis have been observed, so that's only my guess on what it would look like.

I'm in love with these guys - you totally outdid yourself with their face shapes and I love the subtle differences between the two. It's so odd how they're quite different but still both extremely recognisable as okapis. Absolutely fantastic job<33

It is... somewhat interesting that there is a good course. I hope it ends up being about deforestation. I am from Florida, a subtropical place. And so much land is clear cut all around me all the time for more resorts

I wonder if those little spirits are tree spirits? Like the Lorax?

They remind me a little of the soot sprites from Spirited Away :'D

it would be super cool if the little creatures from the shrine were
sad that their home had been built on and we collectively used our
saplings to help rebuild their home over the golf course!! <3

ooooh, I really hope this is how this goes down - maybe the little guys help the saplings grow quickly and we'll get to see the jungle all back to how it should be??

Does anyone else get a little sad seeing the golf course? Or more, knowing that where the golf course is.. was where the jungle was? Mainly this section here and the ruined temple (I hope it's okay to crop the map?):

I kinda hope that this will somehow be addressed in the 'story' of the event, maybe awakening some kind of forest guardian like the Lorax or going on a mission to restore the forest. Add in a little real life dilemma to teach the children to respect the forest, as it were.

The art work so far has been amazing, I love the detailing on the maps and, oh snap, those okapis. ;o;

i am so behind on the token hunting but oh my gosh i am in love with all of the outcomes so far!
the artists have outdone themselves in my opinion, especially those okapis! definitely my
favourite design so far! although the little tapirs are beautiful and the butterfly wolves!
i'm going to have to step up my game so that I can make sure I get them all x.x

then again, whoever built the temple had to drastically alter the landscape in the first place. even if it was built for a supernatural protector of the forest for the shape of the head on the temple. what ever it is. unless it was created by pure magic. and then the jungle took over again. but they would of been sad when the ancient civilization that may of cut down a forest did it in the first place, reclaimed the temple, and now it's discovered because the forest is coming down again for golf.

I never understand why there are SO many event choices such early in a summer event while one hardly gets enough tokens to attend all of them. I am always out of the tokens needed lol. I guess it gets a bit balanced in the end, but I always feel as if I will never have enough tokens for all the things to get. It feels quite stressing. I would rather have a relaxed time and fun to explore everything
