So, I spent way too long writing an 8,000 word story-mode version of the event with my own little twists and explanations, using the official NPC dialogue. If you want to read it, please know that the plot inconsistencies were intentional and part of my interpretation of the event (I made some pets and items but the actual planning is not a moderator thing).
