These eggs you got are tokens! Different colours of tokens are required for different prizes on the event page c:
If you go there you'll see, for example, that the butterfly bunny needs you to hand over one egg of each colour - so you cannot get that bunny until you have managed to collect those types of eggs.
The green bun meanwhile needs you to trade in one green and two purple eggs - meaning you'll only have to get those three eggs to trade for the pet.
The eggs are all equally valuable, the variations just exist to make getting all the prizes a bit more challenging.
Don't worry, though - some prizes will let you choose for yourself which eggs you trade in to get them, so that you only need a certain number, rather than specific colours. That way you have a little more freedom at spending them and won't get stuck having too little of some colours and too many of others.
Edit: The "animal eggs" that you can also get from the banner, however, are simply cute little collectibles. They can't be spent on event prizes, but if you don't want them yourself, you can still trade them to other players^^
