I totally thought this was a Bass (a Smallmouth Bass, specifically) but according to the archive it's a Perch. It must be a very large perch b/c it is a chonky lad haha. Most Perch I've seen look, slimmer (and as I fish and have caught my fair share, including this year, I do know what they look like) and the fins a lot more orange (granted this is, I think, a Yellow Perch thing). Fun fact they have, kinda rough feeling scales (as compared to other fish, if you run your finger along the scales it feels rough, even going with the scales)


And the Bass, doesn't look like one? Idk it looks like it has white spots which, I can VERY safely say they do not have (at least Large and Smallmouth, which are the most common kind of freshwater Bass-I fish for Smallmouth). They got lighter bellies yeah but not like, white spotting. It's either a horizontal dark stripe (Largemouth Bass) or a series of vertical stripes (kinda like the perch, hence my confusion) for Smallmouth.
(Also side note but both Yellow Perch and Smallmouth Bass tastes really good. Esp fresh.

I sort of thought these were both Bass haha.
Hopefully I can collect the rest of the fishies.

The first is indeed based on a yellow perch. He did come out a bit chonky, but I kind of liked him like that so I didn't bother slimming him down, lol

I think the white "spots" you're seeing are just how the shine layer is affecting the color, his original color layer doesn't have spots. He is based off a largemouth bass as that's what I'm most familiar with. I did 'amplify' some of the colors/patterns on the fish to make them more fun, which is why his horizontal stripe is more broken up than it would be on an actual Bass. The catfish also has purple eyes, lol. They're not meant to be 100% accurate. :]

Ahh probably the shine layer. I'll admit I'm less familiar with Largemouth Bass than I am Smallmouth (Smallmouth are the ones I fish for/are the ones in the lake we stay on in the summer. the lake near where I live allegedly has largemouth but, i've never had luck catching *anything* in that lake so I have no idea haha).
I didn't even notice the catfish's eyes haha. Just that it was a catfish.

Just a mini-shot to say a Big-Big-Thanks to Gb-Mod @Aaron for updating the Outcome Charts everyday since the beginning of the Event so quickly just after Release Time, usually within minutes...!

... "one of" => + All the Pets and Items Designers of course..., but the quick Update to the Outcome Charts is new from this Event...

Pity the Archives are much-much slower, usually 8h-10h later, while that part could easily be automated, there used to be some Enh-Req in the 'Sugg' Sub-Forum about that, apparently still not implemented...

Archive update is happening so late on this event- past events it would happen like, 15mins to an hour after their release. This event its been 5+ hrs for almost every release

Of course, I understand it's manually done, but I think having at least 1-2 more archivists would help ease trading <3
I wasn't able to easily trade because I can't say "wl swaps" if it's not on the wishlist lol

While it does seem and appear to be almost as slow as blackstrap molasses, the Archives is updated when it can be gotten to. Our elustrious Archivist does their job as fast as they can. I, too, wish it could be automated, but alas, it's not. Please be patient. Our Archivist has to sleep sometimes.
