Oh darn it.
I just returned from a long stay in hospital to discover summer event is almost over. I missed it completely, aaaaah. Life really hurts sometimes.

For me, the mad struggle to fetch those pets has only just begun...

The event was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the fishing minigame and a whole set of tokens being locked behind it, if I'll be honest (though I won't deny that my horrible luck is a contributing factor to that), but the rest was still fine.

I agree on the fishing game fish tokens. I'm missing so many pets because I only got fish tokens a couple of times (I got the "trash" items more than once). I also like to have one of each token at the end too. That seems impossible now lol.

Honestly, I wish they'd keep the little food swap mini game on the site permanently. Surprisingly, it actually works on my old tablet/browser lol.

100% agree with this. those fish tokens are so hard to obtain.

It makes me so happy to hear how many people enjoyed the event! (For those of you who don't know: I write the story, create the NPCs, and do a lot of the silly little things you see around the forum like NPCs chatting with you and pinning fanart to the board!)

Shout out to the users who suggested the theme, everyone who contributed to it in some way story-wise, the artists (both of pets and the map) who made my and honestly everyone's vision of the theme come true, and everyone who has participated in the story itself. I will admit I got a little burnt out at the end there due to unforeseen circumstances and wasn't able to make my vision for the level of interaction I wanted on the last day to come true, but feel free to lock in your theories before we solve the mystery (all will be revealed)!

Every year (since the first event I wrote in 2020) I've tried to make bigger and better things happen, and I will keep doing that in the future! Your feedback on past events has been invaluable to me, and it is the reason I've been able to improve. I'm so glad that I was able to have my vision for the Camp Sorting Quiz and its connection to the clue hunt come true. Also, my secret favorite part was writing Penny's silly little songs, lol, since I'm a poet as well as a fiction writer. Anyway, on to the next one! <3

It's me, hi, I'm the Taylor Swift fan. I also chose "Andrea" as an NPC name for the motherly character on purpose (I have reasons for all the NPC names I choose lol these ones were just a lot more "normal" than some so I think people didn't really pick up on it).

hit the final banner limit! i was behind for a bit but im very happy i was able to catch up, i hit the banner limit(s) every event and im glad im able to keep the tradition up (:
im also working on my final hoard, super excited to show them all off once im finished! <3
i think this was one of my favourite events so far! lots of older events are my favourites due to nostalgia (egypt/candy specifically) but this one was genuinely so good! i adored the characters and the personality quiz and the map art, it definitely felt like a real camping trip (: i also cant believe that creamsicle is the least populated camp, chicken has finally surpassed us haha

however the best part of every event is seeing people i recognize in the forums (: if you talk regularly or share your dressups/pets in event chats please know that i most definitely recognize you and im so happy youre here! the community truly makes these events perfect <3

i didn't like how small the decoration space for the actual pet rock was, soooooo i ended up making this over a macaw :lol:

I haven’t been able to understand how people get the tokens so easlily. Max I’ve only had around 15 in total, And I would love to have my mini hoard of 3 rocks and as much mothman stuff I can get, but unfortunately I can’t pull any rocks or get any mothman stuff in trading, and the event is gonna come to a end soon. Does anyone have any tips on what I could do?

AGREE!!! ^^^^ ive mentioned before but this was my first eveny where i really properly integrated with the community and it made such a difference-- yall are lovely and i loved this SO much. CS has been thru a lot but you guys stay lovely and strong and i appreciate that. love u guys. stay safe <3
