2022 Halloween Event - Casual Chat V.1 [read first post]

Well that last conversation makes me not wanna try and trade for the dumb dragon at all. If this is really how people think then I don't really have any hope of finding one. Not even later in the year after the event is over

I wouldn't give up. I managed to trade solely for a banner pps and tokens. I just posted in the Halloween swap thread. It took a few days, but eventually someone sent me the trade!

I did it that way because then I wasn't getting my hopes up repeatedly for trades where someone was only looking for crazy overpay.

i finally chose a lil fella to fixate on aside from the serpents who remind me of ninjago characters - the necronomicon(?) fox! i knew it had to be one of the three but all of them are sooo cool!! so it was a tough choice but i think the vibe of the one i chose is just amazing <3 big props to the artist!

i got 3 of the green banner rats out of all 300 banners ^^ luckily my friend had an extra dragon and traded it to me xD

Has there been any transparency on the rates for the banner or is it completely rng? I can vouch that it feels dramatically low, the chances of getting the banner pets this year. Even outside of the dragon, I've got 2 rats from nearly maxing my limit.

It's starting to feel unfair, we're not even getting fodder to swap for the desired outcome like previous years. The chaos is fun to watch at the beginning because you know that everything will be fair by the end, but so far I've seen 0 of the hype die down. It's starting to worry me for players who care about their complete collections.

**Edit; at this point i've given up lol. there's literally no point in scrambling for a pet that will lose all its demand within a week. i'm just speaking for other players who are giving out WAY more than necessary due to FOMO (fear of missing out.)

I don't believe drop rates are ever released for banner pets. I personally got 3 banner pets out of 300 tokens, which is one in a hundred as an average and they all happened to be the pps.

However I've seen other people posting that they are getting a plethora of banner pets so I'm assuming my luck was just bad.

{keep in mind, it's still very early! Demand was identical if not even worse last year when the banner dragon came out and people were scrambling. Within a month or even less people had moved on to the next shiny new pet, the rarities came out, and people could trade fairly for it if they missed out. RNG is tricky. This year I actually hade a higher banner pet rate than last.}
{If people want to overpay to complete their collection or just have the dragon right now, that's their choice. But there's no real reason to do so when it'll be easier to trade fairly in a few weeks, especially if you don't want to overpay. Don't give up hope-- just wait a little bit for the rarity to come out. Maybe it'll surprise us all c:}

For me this year the rates have been increased, like last year I can't fully remember what I got but I know it's a lot less than this year. So it probably is just completely rng and the rates haven't changed.

Also as for hype same with last year it probably wont die down till the rarities are updated, however by Christmas they'll be worth about as much as any other rare from this event. Honestly I haven't noticed any real difference this year from last year

i've clicked 223 banners and only one of them was a banner pet (the dragon, god bless). you won't see common statistics if you ask just a handful of people tho, drop rates aren't a guarantee

about the fodder, i have given up on getting pets in hopes they are rare, i just want ones that i think are neat

I’m so thankful somebody swapped me the banner dragon for the green rat 1:1
I didn’t expect it at all and accepted so so quickly

I’ve had 3 banner pets myself and all were the 1st green rat, have about 20 banners left

That’s me now with a very nearly full collection, just need a lil free adopt doggo
Now I can focus on the 5 pps gummy snakes I’d like to get for my 1 page mini hoard, I’ve got all of the adults already
