Ah, sorry, I'm afraid I decided not to read up on casual chat this time, it grew 100 pages while I slept and usually there's not a lot of important things to miss - so I didn't know you had posted about the pets there at all D:

Don't get me wrong, aha, I love the ponies and absolutely have to hoard them <3 (And then every toucan pony needs a toucan plush ofc)
I'm just That Person who will literally never get tired of natural bird designs because birds are the best :3
They're still birds, they can do no wrong and they're valid and I love them

Although you saying that macaws are a common theme did remind me how CS has only ever had pets based off two macaw species (scarlet and ararauna) and no others. Which is slightly sad :c

I can’t blame you, the casual chat is exhausting to keep up with and I just take quick glances here and there xD.

Scarlet macaws are pretty much the signature species and the first thing most people think of when it comes to macaws, so yeeeah they are used a lot it doesn’t surprise me we’ve only had those and araúnas. I’ve even seen both scarlets and araúnas(we call those Canindé here) in the wild several times too, but personally I’ve always preferred hyancynths even with their super simple coloration, and Catalina/Camelot macaws are damn GORGEOUS even though they are just hybrids... Who knows, maybe in the future I’ll feel more motivated to tackle macaws for pet designs. For now I’m feeling way too uninspired to go for realistic bird themes.

Oh my gossssssssh, Lillian these are gorgeous! ;o; I think the fact they aren't based off real birds is why I love them so much, it's so refreshing to see something original but fitting the jungle theme at the same time~<3

So, as someone who's career is in wildlife management, this theme of real-life animals is so exciting! '

Firstly, the coati's and tapir's are so cute! I love these the most. Also, Lilian your "bird-ponies" (sorry, not sure what to officially call them) are amazingly done! The color schemes are beautiful, this one espescially:
