Every single pet adopted on December 18th is guaranteed to be a rare, so this little one will turn into the rare outcome of the littler. c: It didn't use to be guaranteed, but I think it was 2012 or 2013 that they changed that to avoid users being disappointed and to boost the number of rare pets about.
