It does seem like the bulldozers are on their own sentient, and not being driven and property of the resort owners
sentient machines?? [gasps]
i'll sTOP
i do agree the event has been plain so far, hopefully it can pick up some speed soon.

did say the bulldozers could be haunted...
Sentient or not, I still advocate for saving them.
I'm a automobile enthusiast, okay? X3

paperjack. wrote:I know I'm "salty" and bashing this event into oblivion with a stick, but this is a thread to share your thoughts about the event. If someone doesn't want their fun to be ruined, they don't have to read any complaint posts. I never said I flat out hated it, nobody did. We have every right to express ourselves if we're upset with a part of the event or had troubles with something. Sorry if people expressing their opinion, just like you, ruined the fun. Criticism is a given, regardless if this was an Easter event or some monthly adopt. Everyone will have problems, and I don't think everyone should keep saying "salty group of people", cause that's just a bit rude. I was naive at first with my posts cause I wasn't exactly set into an opinion, but now that I am, I'm feeling a bit uneasy about disliking this event. We all are entitled to our own opinions regarding this summer adventure, and there is tons of criticism in this thread for the staff on stuff they could improve upon. If everything was happy-go-lucky and dandelions, there would be no need to complain in the first place, but that isn't the case. If you don't like people complaining about the event, don't complain about them--cause that in itself ruins the fun as well.
Anyways, anyone have luck with resort chips lately? I got seeds from my last two banners but I've had chips a lot lately. Loots like the RNG gods heard my pleas.
You are absolutely right, I should not have started complaining about complainers. It doesn't do any good to add to the negativity, even if in attempting to make it stop. I am sorry for adding to the issue. Also for the salty comments, especially since they were not meant to be rude (honestly the only word I could think of that sounded fun instead of rude). I should have just ignored it and interjected with as much positive as I could. That was very ill played on my part.

When I first joined the site, I fell in love with the pet designs and it was one of the first things I added to my wish list but it seems as if it was even more spectacular to have participated in it.
It really was. There was mystery, suspense, frustration, and intrigue as we all waited for the bar to fill up (by trading in map tokens) and the pyramid to open. And when it did, there were still locked rooms, one of which ended up being where Queen Cleocatra lived. She cursed the town with scarab beetles and we had to vote between her and the archaeologist, Archie, about whether or not to take her artifacts to a museum (she won the vote). And then people started shipping them. It was so awesome.
Oh man, this sounds great. Wish I had joined when I just heard about the site back then. Can't believe I just dismissed it. I'm surprised that the Candy event wasn't that popular. Really love the pets almost as much as the Egyptian and Space pets.

The first summer event of the Medieval Faire was my favorite for pets and characters. Though I feel like the most engaging for the whole site was the Dream Event, everyone was duking it out and it was a blast to see the engagement the teamwork brought out <3
I am so happy to see some new bird lines and macaw themed pets though thanks to this event, s o b they just are wonderful and I needed them in my life!

I started collecting eggs late, so I have no idea what my little golflings will turn into. I have two of the white one so far, but I hold out hope that the others will turn into unique outcomes. (Don't wanna have to go to the swap thread 'cause I'm laaaaazy, lol)

I really like that the pose is sort of dynamic. They found a way to show the whole wingspan without making it look like a trophy on a wall. I can't wait until all of them are adults with their colors, but I think the true test will be when they are used for a monthly pet and how a non-bird theme is designed on them.
Also, this event has given me so many art ideas... I wish I had more time to work on them. I've got this rather elaborate plan for an adoptable on CS that I'll never have time to work on XD

Oof I think I need to take a break from this thread for a while and sleep. I’m just tired of everyone bashing on each other, no matter their opinions on the event.
I’m hoping to wake up to some light hearted fun, even though I do think most of the complaints are justified and important to note.

Thank you for stepping up, I appreciate it. I know I could've said a lot of things better, but when you're blinded by disappointment, you just get out of control sometimes. I tend to take "salty" in a wrong way a lot, it usually is only fun when you say it about yourself or in a joking way towards friends. I already let go of the fact I found the event boring, but people are still complaining about people complaining, like, a bit hypocritical if anything. Since everyone wants "fun" talk, let's all do that instead. It's better to focus on the positive anyway. I don't resent you in any way, just so you know, but I think people should be more accepting of people disliking something regardless if it sounds like complaining or not. Whether you complain or critique, something can still help people improve, and it is entirely up to your point of view on a subject on whether or not you consider things criticism or not. I get it, I was being annoying and blabbing my mouth, but y'know, things wont get better if we swallow all those negative thoughts down--it's good to get them out there.
