I have a theort about the banner dogs

Thous of you who got the banner dogs. Did you have a low amount of tokens when you acquired them dogs?

Explanation
I picked up 2 dice dogs the first day then got nothing for the longest time. I just traded like 30 tokens for a couple pets. Now I have 5 tokens again and I just got another dice dog. So, I was wondering if anyone else notice it of if it's just a weird coincidence?

I dont feel this is this is the case..
I feel like it's pure luck.
I only have about 3 tokens, and I've only gotten a few and traded them for the dogs or to the event, and the most tokens I've had at once was 4, and I haven't gotten a dog yet..
