The most annoying part about all this "rodent hate" is if they had been dogs, lions, dragons or some other popular species no one would have batted an eye.
We're usually overrun with dogs and no one cares. But the rats get a little attention for once and suddenly we don't get enough variety. Please, guys.

I personally like the pets we've gotten so far and the new tiny rats are adorable

I personally love the mice. The white one I'm hoarding in memory of my Snow rattie I had years ago. I'd rather see more of a certain pet get the spotlight more than one commonly seen like the dogs, equines and the dragons. Rats, bats and cats and mice... Yep. They need the spotlight for now.

I love that this event is full of rodents!
Everytime there's lots of dogs (was there a month with no monthly dogs available?..), and finally it's rodents' time to shine! The best advent so far ❤️
Todays ratties are amazing - mix of my fav dwarf hamster lines and small rats appearance~~

In full fairness as much as I did love the growing rats, fruit rats and especially todays mousies it would be nice to get some more species variety! I'm not saying dogs, it could very well be other less-appreciated species! It's similar to what I've said about artist variety - ideally everyone would get to have that 'oh omg my favorite artist/species!' moment c:

I definitely think said variety is still in store for us ^^

it could very well be as one user said a few pages back and it just happens to be that most of the rodent releases for this advent ended up having their release days being lumped closely together this time.

Also dont forget about those GUPPS boxes that we always get, theres always quite a good mix in those

I include mixed sets (like the GUPPS) as a set.

That's 15 different species out of 20-25 species we can potentially get. And the event's not even over yet. I'd say that's variety. Do we have a lot of individual rodents? Perhaps, we have 42 rodents out of 91 outcomes. But that doesn't take away from the variety we already have. A single deer is still a different species that we got even if it is just one.

I tried locking the artists in the basement to hold them hostage in exchange for an entire advent calendar of chickens
Unfortunately it turns out I am not strong enough to hold anyone hostage for more than 3 seconds
but I still believe one day I will succeed

In the meantime, I will just have to make do with the absolutely adorable ratties
Honestly the best part about liking unpopular species is that they're easy to hoard :]

Today's mice are really cute! I do hope we get more of them in the future for sure, they are a delightful edit.
I think my fave litter so far are still the fruit rats, though!

These are honestly some of the best rats we've ever gotten ♥



I'm also over the moon to see this lad! The Bone PPS is, IMO, an underrated outcome of the advent litter and I've always had a soft spot for the design for how simple but cool it is.
Nice to see a grown-up version now, and still holding out hope for a Celestial GUPPS in the near future :D
