I'm so confused? What does it mean if the macaws are 'splits'?

When someone says "split" when referring to a litter of pets, they mean that one mid-stage outcome grew into two different full-grown outcomes. For example, if we have white kittens, and then on day 3 one grows into a black adult but some of them stay as white kittens until day 6 when they grow into a grey outcome, that's a split.

Oof, I really hope they're not splits. As much as I'd love to keep one of every stage of every outcome, that would be a nightmare.

But seriously, I also just got a resort token and I want to cry.

At least can we swap in the totems (at a loss, 5 to one, I don't care, SOMETHING) for resort chips? Like the candy pony situation? Can we trade anything for resort chips? Are people really getting a ratio of enough resort chips to other tokens to justify this? Honest questions. I'm getting them at such a low yield and absolutely less than 1/3 trade in success at the chance games. Yeah, okay, could be bad luck, but I'm bummed at repeatedly reading "if you don't get the right ones, you can trade for it" when it's obvious how high demand is towards chips.
