Here is a caparison of all the recent rat lineart edits, including the one from last Christmas.
I think the new one is my favorite!! I like the cartoony black lines and the eyes are just like how I draw cartoon animals so it reminds me of something I would draw. I also really like the ears. I just think the rat looks funny (in a good way) and whimsical.

I really love the edits on today's rats as well! It's not my favorite species on CS, but I've been enjoying all the cute edits we've been getting recently. <3

Agreed, I never even thought about collecting rats until we started getting all of these cute lineart edits!

It is kinda wild we haven't had a regular rat lineart since February (other than the PPS rats from Easter)

My fave is this one:

And I do prefer it over the regular lineart. The regular is just so oddly smooth and beady eyed.


But this lineart is apparently the most realistic one (not talking about color, obviously x3). Rats have very flat faces like that. It does suffer from smoothness too, which I just don't like.

i know everyone’s speculating about pets, but can i just say i’m SUPER excuted to see what items this event has to offer? cowboy hats! cowboy boots! CACTI! the possibilities are endless and i can’t wait to see what the artists & staff came up with (: summer events are always such a treat, and this theme seems fun!

Maybe there should be a separate thread for the complaints and debates. I just want to enjoy my happy yeehaw event, not see random mentions of genocides

even as a descendant of genocide survivors myself, I cannot imagine the hurt a native player on CS must go through when they have to see this type of insensitive comment.
let's do better and actually consider the harm that can be done, yeah?

I reaaaaally hope we get some more desert plants. I'd love to see different types of cacti <3

Just gonna say how HAPPY I am for the first token pets to be lions, I’m hoping maybe we will get some cowboy grown lions later in the event!

Maybe I'll go after outcomes I want, but I won't be touching this event very much. I feel too awful for native players on here seeing this event. It looked fun, but the realization of how hurtful it is to some is just painful.
