I should probably stop hunting for a couple days so my chances increase before I run out of banners lol

Just try not to panic, guys! We still have plenty of time in the event to click banners and try for those animal eggs. Besides, wouldn't it just be a real kick in the teeth to pay a ridiculous amount for an animal egg, only to get it from the banner not long after? That's happened to me before, so that's why I try not to worry about it too much. c': Heck, by the end of the event, most people are practically swimming in animal eggs, so if nothing else you should wait until then to trade for any eggs you missed.
