i get, rats,and rodents in general, are not super popular, but tonight's line edit mice are to cute there is no reason not to like them, unless you have a fear of mice and rats, you people get a pass.

edit: i went back and read tonights negativity towards the cute mice, instead of just complaining lets add some positivity and inspiration! Instead of just saying "ew more rats" or "guess the artists dont listen to our complaints" say something like "not a huge fan of rats, but the line edit of the dwarf hamster is impressive" or "it would be really cute if we get a bunny holding a sugar cookie!"

like help the artist out, do shoot them out of the sky. we absolutely loved the line edited pps chickens for Easter, the artists saw how much we loved them and made some of them into line edited chickens.

like the designs on the classic Christmas gift rats(x-mas cookies, candles/poinsettias ugly sweater, socks, and white elephant) were really cool, and I think we can all agree on that! A lot of people just didnt like they were on rats (which I think was totally fitting for the theme). so just say, these designs were so cool, I bet they would be really neat on the western dragon line art! maybe youd see some common gift themed western dragons next year. right now im just seeing a lot walls going up for any future rat designs for christmas.

seriously, the artists volunteer to make us pets, they put a lot of time into making us pets. they do this because they WANT to not because the have to.

I don't think anyone is complaining about them personally. Just voicing their opinions on how they wish there was more of a variety of species besides a lot of rodents. ^^

This years Advent, in my opinion, is a bit subpar. Personally I hate and don’t collect rats, the hamsters yes but rats are a no. I have a literal handful because most of them are the types of rock rats from the cave event (which was also a bit subpar compared to to past Summer Events imo, despite finally getting dinos for an event.....but that is a different rant.) and one PPS rat because it is the blood orange rat and that is like one of my fave fruits. But disappointing. Hopefully I get good stuff on the 18th to make up for this. Or they stop. Doing. Rats.

I cant believe people are complaining about the rats in general. I am not a rat or mouse person myself, but theyre free pets that the staff makes no money off of. Instead of being mad about something that is free, why not be happy you got anything at all?

It's a bit stifling of other opinions to say that no one is allowed to have an opinion other than liking something, though. You can be grateful for something and still not enjoy it or want it. Like how you might receive a gift on Christmas that you didn't particularly want, but you're still grateful that the person thought of you when they bought it for you. No one is saying that they're ungrateful, they're just saying that they're getting a bit tired of the abundance of rodents we've gotten so far. And as much as I have liked the pets we've gotten so far, I do have to agree that if we continue along this track, I may get a bit tired of it myself.

I know that I mentioned before that I was a little overwhelmed with the rodents this year, but heck I have a soft spot for mice. These little guys are adorable. Great job to the artist. I feel like if we had official mouse lines, they would look similar to this.

Also gotta agree, I do like the linework done on the outcomes we have gotten so far. Some of the designs aren’t particularly my cup of tea, but I appreciate them and the work the artists put in to make them. I actually like most of them. Just so many rodents haha. They make them in advance, so nothing can really be done about it. I doubt they communicated beforehand who did what species and how many, so maybe this can be a learning experience? I don’t know what all goes on behind the curtain, but maybe the artists can work on mapping out the event so the species used are more spread out and not oversaturated and focused on just two or three linearts. The artists may be just as surprised as we are with the amount of rodents so far.

Again, you all did wonderfully and please don’t take this as me putting down your hard work. I love them, I just wish there were a but less of them.
