2021 Summer Event: Casual Chat

I just got the idea of glowworm-based PPS caterpillars in my head and now it is refusing to leave so I REALLY hope we get pets along the lines of that sometime during the event now

I gotta say that that would be awesome and like Minimanta, I could 100% see this being a distinct possibility! If not glowworms, I'm sure that there's bound to be plenty of glowy-things to satisfy those of us who love glowing items and pets!


I don't know how and I don't know why, but when I first went through to look at the NPCs and what their trade-ins were, I thought that Freddie's name was Forsythe and I was so confused when I scrolled back up to see that it wasn't. Not only that, there's nothing in the info blurb that would make my brain combine Freddie with something else to get that, so I genuinely have no idea where my brain got that name. But also I like it better than Freddie, it seems more like what I imagine a geologist would have for a name lol

I posted in the swap thread looking for two of the free rats (for swapping with other free rats) and I have one of the rat fishies in my trade group as well (which planning on swapping when I know which outcome I'll need). I knew that I'd get tons of offers trying to get my token rat for the free ones and I wasn't wrong

On the other hand they've actually made it decently challenging this year - usually the first day only takes me a couple of hours!

I am so, so, so, so happy about this year's theme! I was dreading the beginning of the summer event, because last year's theme was the one theme out of all the suggestions and possibilities that had been floating around that I had liked least, and I was afraid of another disappointment. I am happy to be able to hunt with renewed energy this year.

Okay, so there's at least 30+ different shrooms, so you definitely need to adopt them twice if you want them all.

Buuut I already did that and I still keep getting tokens for them. I just want tokens for the last two token pets D:

The vial of dirt is the token avoiding me at the moment. The blue liquid though seems to love me so far

The number of rubble samples I’ve gotten has almost reached double digits now and that’s not even counting the two I spent on the mushroom items
Since I yelled about getting rubble samples on here the mushroom samples have also started to torment me
Banner RNG please I just want rock and water samples to get my funky fish rats/hamsters


At least I got enough to do two trade-ins tonight; the blue hamster was the outcome I really wanted and I haven’t gotten any doubles yet so RNG’s being nice fo me on that front
Hopefully I can get enough tokens to snag the last two outcomes tomorrow
