this was my first token event ^^ i went in expecting to love it and maybe start a new hoard, since the 2021 pps Easter egg bunnies were my first hoard and some of my absolute favourite pets. and oh my gosh i was absolutely blown away. it was so much cuter than i was expecting!
on the first day i already really, really loved the little fawns-- the black and purple one especially. the other three are cute and i would like more of them once rarities come out, but the colour contrast on this lil guy makes it really stand out. Sunlight here was chosen to guard a copy of each of my animal eggs because i knew i would never be trading her. the token bunnies were cute (the winged one from the first day is probably my favourite, i love the winged bunnies). the 2nd gen dogs were cute. the squids were cute.
and then they hit me with a lil easter egg snake that has hearts all over it?! it's so adorable! i fell in love with the valentine's hamsters this year for their heart motifs, and i adore the easter egg pps bunnies from 2021 especially. so... a heart easter egg baby snek? it
looks like it loves you. cuddly! adorable! the most boopable snoot! my heart never stood a chance.
i was busy obsessing over the heart snek and then. i already firmly believed that the tiny baby otters were one of the absolute cutest pet designs ever, and this one was not just adorable, but it had a stuffed bunny! which is even more adorable! a tiny baby with a cuddly stuffed bunny? cute! cute! the absolute height of cuteness! and it grew up with the stuffed bunny growing up with it? a couple members of a cs discord i'm in posted pics of their own well-loved stuffed bunnies that resembled the adult otter's. the realism makes it even more adorable. this entire litter became some of my top favourite pets on the site almost immediately.
i was not expecting to end up liking other pets more than i would the pps bunnies, and yet. the free bunnies were very nice and realistically coloured. my favourite of those was probably the dark fluffy one. learning about bilbies was super cool! the weather caterpillars are adorable, the butterfly cats are beautiful, the chess pieces actually go really well with slumber party pets-- especially the rats of all pets!-- and i loved seeing which older pets the animal eggs and bunnies were based off of. the dande
lions are cute, especially the pps. the flower dragons were adorable and have every stage dragon, which is perfect. the rock worms and dyed egg dragons are cute and one of the other players in the discord i'm in recognised the waxed egg concept right away and told us all about it, which made them much cooler imo. the ducks are perfectly nice and realistic ducks and i really like the greenish-black sheen to one of them.
and i have a lot more free flowers and squirrels, which is very nice. the pink tulips and white chess pieces go so well with the slumber party rats, which really enhances both the items and the rats imo. bunny hoodies were very cute. in conclusion, everything was great!
