But I mean the staff and mods aren't characters. They can't be the culprits because they don't have characters in this.
I guess they can use their names as a random person who witnesses clues... but they can't do the crime or whatever.

The beauty dog did seem happy about the musical incident becuase she had more time to create costumes. Maybe she made a tentacle to cover up her tracks and make people think of creatures with tentacles as main suspects.

It directly states that the shady pearl dealer was AquilaFuga. They could have worked with Panopea.
Adds on to another theory. What if Aquila and Panopea were working together and then either one of them said they were an eyewitness because one of them felt bad after they did it? And then they stayed anon... but what about the he clue? That kinda downgrades this theory.
