Last year needed 108 tokens for everything, the year before that was 130 (or 122 not including items). If you've hit the banner limit, you've gotten more than enough for every outcome plus doubles!

That depends on one's luck with the box litters, but in my experience, it's usually right around 200, give or take a little. For reference, at the time of posting, I'm completely caught up with token pets and at the 250 banner limit, having spent 153 tokens and having 97 left over for future releases. There's not much of the event left; one or maybe two more releases.

Obviously I can't give exact percentages or averages, and it's different for everyone because of the RNG (see Pyromaniacal's reply), but I hope this helps

^^ Just to clarify my reply, the numbers I arrived at are assuming either perfect luck or that you're swapping outcomes from the box. So if there are 3 outcomes from a box costing 4 tokens, I assumed it would take 12 tokens to get all outcomes, because you can just swap a double you got from the box for whichever one(s) you missed.

If you're trying to get every outcome from every box yourself, it does take a lot more tokens, since it's very unlikely you'd be perfectly lucky on every box - but fortunately it's easy enough to swap that you don't have to rely on getting everything yourself :)
