I accidentally posted this on the casual chat board bc I was reading both, lol. I've been up so long grabbing banners that I'm super tired, and mistakes are made when you're tired.
WHICH IS ACTUALLY A GOOD LEADUP TO MY THOUGHT?

I know the princess said it was a dream, but as I said before- mistakes can be made if you're sleepy. Maybe she just /thought/ she was asleep. She said a big green monster attacked her, but like.
Perhaps someone could have used shells and seaweed from Finnegan's stock to "disguise" themselves while they trashed the place?


I'm watching a Forensic Files marathon to put me in the crime solving mood. Lol

Who I actually think did it? I think it was finnegan. Finnegan asks us to bring "seaweed, kelp, shells, and wood." All of which were found at the crime scene. Also he is an old design storepets meaning we weren't going to be able to recieve a version of him during the event, which means it's safe to say he can be a prime suspect. He has the key, and he is a water dragon. Meaning he has scales, and webs. He says he wants to brighten up the hall, but he needs the seaweed kelp shells etc to do so. But when we give him what he asks for, he gives us decorations for the hall. What would he need all those tokens for? Especially since that is what damaged the crime scene anyways. He actually could of tried framing the chief because he claimed "When I left work last night, the only one here was Cheif Calamari" perhaps trying to lead us down the wrong trail. In addition, he should know who has the keys since he is the lead organizer of the jamboree. Meaning that he could easily go wherever he wants in that place without looking suspicious. We also don't know where he was after the chief left. He may have snuck back in to destroy the place and then leave without a sound.
Motive: overworked, and stressed. Having to deal with all the constant work and pressure made him crack.
In addition he could also be working with Cheif so they could have an "alibi" they both seem quite upset with the jamboree, and need a break. If they did work together Cheif would have been the one who made the tentacle markings around the stage, and Finnegan would have left the scales.

Ok. So I've figured it out. It has to be Finnegan because he's the only one who can manover through the jamboree without any suspicion. He was able to throw a lot of us off by lying, and making most of us jump to someone else thinking that they did it. So the thing is, we know where he could of did it, how he got the materials (from us) and why he did it. But I feel like he had help. I don't think, (because he claimed he works most of the time) he had enough time to actually damage the instruments. But he could of helped someone get to the instruments, and lied about seeing them. After all, he claimed he saw the Cheif, so that we could be thrown off.

SO THEN WHO HELPED HIM

If Cheif is lying then he may have been going out to meet up with finnegan to the stage. Sooo yeah. Think it's finnegan still.


Note: the conductor had his alibi cleared, meaning that Finnegan had no connection with him. Question: how come did the conductor get his Alibi cleared when Finnegan did not?

Hm. He could of hidden in seaweed and accidentally scared the princess as she slept walked but unlikely. Mostly linked to Cheif currently. We don't know who he had contact with yet... he doesn't really talk to the investigators. Suspicious

The shadow figure kinda looks like Finnegan

The shadow figure may be Finnegan in disguise, as we see him hide in kelp. He may have used it to walk around without being noticed and scared the princess.

I noticed that! It looks kind of like Finn's back! Or maybe it could be a kelp disguise? There looks to be holes in it, so it could be a costume to blend in.

THE KELP THAT FINNEGAN USED. AHHH the kelp the Finnegan hid in he may have used as a desgiuse and that's what the princess saw!

Was Finnigan using it as a way of camouflage or did he get tangled up in it? I have heard both, and also from the news that he went there to get a way from all of the stuff that is happening.

3-4 AM a noise occurred...
That's around the time Calamari and Shelly were out.

Then at 1 a strange creature was lurking. I betcha this creature destroyed the instruments.
Maybe it was Chef's jellies? But the time is a bit off.

I still think its Wade they could of camouflage into Shelly places to get the key and use it to enter the kingdom to steal Panopea pearls when she was out and soon slipping on some shells,wood and seaweed to fall on the intruments.

Thats my theory

The Princess could of mistake this for her nightmare in where she went to get a sandwich and Wade ran off covered in seaweed could of bumped into her or crashed into her to leave the crime scene

Going back to my theory Wade could of searched around the area of Shelly place to find the key thats why Panopea said she saw Wade acting weird knowing Wade didnt want to look suspicous around Shelly area when she went to Geekfest and needed to wait when Panopea went to get more pearls.

Now to time this could of been between when Shelly left for geekfest and when Panopea went to get pearls.

The curtain to the stage.
New theory of mine: the princess just went to see the pretty instruments because she woke up, was bored, and the king/queen were asleep. She stepped on the curtain, it fell on her, and in her tired state she thought she was being attacked and fled.

The curtain broke the instruments. No one is guilty.

wouldn't the fallen curtain be a piece of evidence though? i dont think it's been mentioned, although i like that theory.

It hasn't been mentioned, no. But then again the scales / tentacle prints weren't mentioned until later on.
tbh cuttler is kinda bad at his job so i wouldnt put him past just being like "i mean OBVIOUSLy the curtain is fallen that's not a clue"

Also I agree that the sleepwalking or just normally walking in/getting tangled in the curtain could've caused her to run across the stage, dragging the curtain, but not necessarily causing it to fall.

The tentacle prints could be cuttler. The scales could have fallen off of the curtain; I imagine any fabric under the sea is bound to collect drifting, shed scales eventually.

What if someone else noticed that the princess caused the mess? Then, not wanting her to get in trouble, they put the curtain back up. In this case, my bet would be on Cuttler (and this elaborate mess is to keep the princess from getting bad press) or more likely, it's a friend that she made. Could the shadowy figure in the picture be one of the leafy sea dragons we win from the races?

also, i think it was squiddy, now. my theory is that he covered himself in seaweed and then destroyed the instruments. the princess ran into him, and then he swam away. maybe he had good intentions and needed items to pull folks out of the kelp forest, though?
