I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet, but I'm pretty sure Herringbone is a reference to the term "red herring." I've been pretty confident since the beginning that he's innocent, but this pretty much confirms it for me.

Yeah we pointed it out XD we discovered he's red and his name is herring. Nobody suspects him.
