An egg with ears and a tail (and sometimes other features), made to match an already released pet.

It's a great question. ^-^ Anyway, an animal egg is an egg that counts towards your total egg count but may not be traded in for items. Instead, it is an item itself, not a token. c: They are based off CS pets just put into a smaller 'egg' form. I hope this answers your question.
