2018 Summer Event: Pet, Item, & Event Discussion

@Susiron, I'm aware of that, but although I searched everywhere I could, it seems that the indigenous populations of those areas included only doric and a somewhat corinthian (but with jungle themed basoreliefs) columns in the temples arhitecture.
But anyway, the pets are beautiful ♡^-^

We have no way of knowing all of the structures that were built in those locations and then lost to time. It's good to keep an open mind with our world's history, since we never will have all of the answers! Greek and Persian builders aside, it's entirely possible too that someone later down the road constructed a building inspired by these structures in the most unlikely of places, and that that building was in time taken over by nature.

Even if it's not likely-- it's not impossible! ;D

This little guy here is kind of giving me a heaache

I love all 3 outcomes, especially the stone temple dog (it's inspired by the Indian stone temples right?) but this one is having an ionic column in it's design which is of Greek origin. This event compiled animals and inspiration from all the jungle-rainforest biomes around the globe, but there is no rainforest nowhere near Greece so I'm very confused ^-^'.

@raey what was your inspiration for this one? I really want to know

I noticed that too, but it doesn't really bother me. XD I think today's ruin pets are some of my favorites from the event, second only to the felines. :3

I like how this one is bright, lush, and almost cartoon-y but still detailed,

while this one is so shadowy, mysterious, and foreboding. It really gives off the 'lost ruin' vibe and I love it.
The tree rat is beautiful too, but I'm particularly fond of these dogs because I really love jungle temple aesthetics. <3

I am planning on hoarding this dog despite its minor quirks. Actually the pillar not being of a rain forest area isn't the unusual part. Its how the broken pillar is affixed to the upper stone platform of the dog. It looks like it is propped in front of the stone platform and has no support. If it were more apart of it, I would imagine the color of the pillar would be the same color as the dog. Or the pillar would have some indication it is connected to the decaying platform by a slight design transition. The way it is, it looks like its solely for support of things above it and is not connected to anything.

I don't mind though . I like to think there is some magic and mystery to the piece that makes it work. Maybe that is why I like it so. Cause it gets the imagination flowing. Thank you Raey for the lovely doggo! <333
