It takes my Totoro about 32 seconds to go from the upper edge straight down to the lower edge.

That is weirdly slow. Mine takes around 3 seconds. Is your internet connection fine? And have you tried clearing the cache?

Just tried clearing the cache, didn't change the speed. My internet connection should be fine, everything else loads pretty quickly, just the game doesn't, the buttons also take some time to react.
Next thing i'm gonna try is a different browser, i'm currently on chrome on a mac.

okay it seems to be related to my browser, it works just fine on safari (and wow, it's really nice to play when it's not that slow )
