Okay I really am hoping for a toucan, they're just such cool animals :,)
Or a red panda and lemur. I know we already have them as store pets, but what's the harm in more? They're adorable creatures!

So far the banners are the only timed thing I've found, but there can always be new areas later in the event!

What are tokens and seeds? this really confuses me. How do you even get them?
