Did we ever get a final and official answer as to what the banner dogs are inspired by?

The theme was different object heads for a collab litter.

D&D was the inspiration for the dice dogs, but other than that the iDeer dog seemed fitting and the eyeball was added for the creepiness factor. In the beginning there was just one dice dog, but then it was decided to make a "good" (nat 20) and an "evil" (crit 1) version of it.
So no, not Stranger Things inspired.

(And before you ask... I asked both artists for permission to post this P:)

Awesome! I figured they had to so with DnD just because of the dice. Was trying to figure out what the other two had to do with DnD. Being random creepy things is perfect.

You guys are keeping calling it iDeer dog...why? This is the name the artists gave him or is another refference I don't understand because of cultural diffrence XD?

It's because the body has the same markings/colourscheme as a deer/fawn.
The i is an analogy to ipad and so on (because the lightbulb is something electronic).

I personally call it De(er)light, because it is a delight to own, and has references to both the deer markings and the lightbulb. iDeer is pretty fitting too though. <3

The light bulb banner dog...the markings on it make it look sort of like a deer to me. And it has a light bulb head. Does that make it an ideer? As in, an idea-deer... Hilarious!
