How to find face claims?

hi!! i'm trying to find face claims [especially gifs] and i kinda have two issues:

1. there are some characters i have that have very specific traits in mind [ex: a character with curly red hair, freckles and is a guy]
2. i have. um. no idea where to find them?? is it pinterest? is there a secret community where all these celebrity/tv character gifs are stored? do i have to make my own?

or is this all ridiculous and it's just recommended to work backwards [find the face claim THEN make the character]? please help. thank you so much!

The guide also mentions websites that offer free-to-use images! In regards to your question about using images/gifs from tv shows, this quote: "Official art, gifs, and images from shows/movies/comics or of celebrities are exempt from this rule as they are widely distributed for fan consumption." is from our Art Rules thread. It is still always a good idea to credit what movie, actor/actress, or show etc. you are using the image from. It is also a good idea to credit the site you got other non-official use images from as well, even if its a free to use site- this helps us out a lot!
