Guide:
How To Be a Good Roleplayer
In my time on Chicken Smoothie, I have seen many different
styles of writing on the Roleplay Forums. Anyone can be a good
writer and I'm here to help you become one!
There are many steps to becoming a good Roleplayer but
here is where you will both learn the ones I have, and the ones
others have! Feel free to ask questions or answer others'
questions!

Step One:
Basic InformationIt is
always a good idea to know the basics and
I am here to provide them! As an experienced roleplayer,
I know that it is never a good idea to skip the rules! A
good Roleplayer will always follow the rules and always
be friendly about having them. It is also an extremely
helpful to read Tess' rules! You never want to get caught
doing something your not supposed to!
Remember:The rules are there for a reason and it
is important that you follow them!
Another good thing to know is that roleplay owners tend
to like it when you detach your signature and make your
writing's font size smaller. When I do this, I call it 'Pretty
Posts'. The list below states what I tend to do to my posts
in a roleplay.
'Pretty Posts'• Detach my signature
• Change the font size to 85/75
• Use proper punctuation
• Add a status box

Step Two:
Proper GrammerIt is a very important thing to use proper grammar
because without it, posts can become short and
confusing. The context below shows a short grammar
lesson that is very useful when writing! The following
links can be used as grammar reference guides.
Punctuation*MoreIt is
never a good idea to write without using your proper grammar!

Step Three:
Literacy
You should always be writing well enough that other
players don't get stuck but not so much that it takes
too long to read. But when is enough really enough?
Some roleplays require you to write a certain amount
of text but what about those roleplays where there is
no set limit? Well, its not law but the minimum you
should be writing is three sentences! It is much better
to be writing four- or maybe even more- sentences per
post. The absolute most you should be writing is a
paragraph per character. Its a lot to write, I know, but if
you add enough detail and try real hard to figure out that
Rubix Cube of which is stuck in your head, you might just
make it! It is also a good thing to use big words. If a
person does not know a word, they may become curious
and want to find out about the word! And so on grows the
grape vine!

Step Four:
Proof ReadingThe last step to becoming a good roleplayer is to remember to proof
read your text every time. This means that you should press 'Preview'
and read what you have already written to check for mistakes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, it looks as if this is the end, my friends. If you have any comments
or questions, do feel free to post them here! Status box ideas may also
be posted here though coding help belongs on the
Digitally Distinct thread.
Good luck to all of you with your roleplaying!

I would try the pretty post thing and lower my font size but I'm on mobile. I will make them neat and easy to understand though and will detach my sig

Important fact: I do not trade or collect pets. I'm here for the rps and other forums. That's about all. I am always willing to talk and make friend though :)

Just a little correction: it's grammar, not grammer.
