his clan are more or less obvious, though, so he still gets along with the rest
of the clan well, aside from being known for questioning orders, snapping at
kits and apprentices, or disappearing for days and then returning with prey
and a shrug as his only explanation. in fact, to some more ambitios cats, he
might actually seem annoying, someone to be jealous of, a bit of a show-off.
he's stayed well-liked so far, but as it comes time for his fiery opinions to em
erge, all of that may be up to change. some cats might want to take advanta
ge of the situation.

role in the clan: a prominent warrior, can usua
lly be heard throughout the camp. complaining
, usually, but he has the odd moments of stand
ing up for his clanmates if there ever were a c
onflict. likely the first one throwing himself at
any danger. probably known by his clanmates f
or being that warrior who has good intentions,
but sometimes needs a cuff over the ear to shu

hunting: definitely the "traditional" warrior skill he's the best at. he likes to hunt, and finds himself in his natural environment when he's able to think, take a pause, and focus by himself. it's also a very straight-forward and skill-based responsibility, which he enjoys: he can practice and train, and thus he gets better and can provide more for the clan.

leadership: an organised, thoughtful cat, pinemask, when given the opportunity to be in charge, can be a brisk but competent leader. although his friendliness might not be his most attractive feature as a leader, he gets things done. he also works better when organising a smaller group, such as a patrol or one task force. overall, someone the deputy and leader can trust to get the job done.

agility/speed: he run. he jump. he climb. he likes going fast and feeling like he's confusing or confounding an enemy! zoom zoom

stealth: not really a skill, moreso he can never stay in one spot and hates crowded places, so he's practiced sneaking away and disappearing to go on his own, self-assigned patrols.
... it's really a wonder he hasn't been thrown out the clan yet.

fighting:
--> brute strength? no. of course, he's capable, well-practiced and can fight, but he's just not the biggest or most muscular cat. in fact, one might say pinemask is on the smaller and slighter end of the warrior spectrum. he has to get an advantage through other means.
--> ferocity? yes. he's absolutely fearless to a degree where some cats might call him stupid, but he likes to think of himself as noble. one of his main advantages is the element of surprise: pinemask's first instinct is to fight, whether that be with his claws or with his words. he's certainly unafraid to get physical, and once he's decided some enemy is a danger to the values and cats he's loyal to, his morality justifies being merciless and ruthless.

what he does not possess:

--> talking to kits or apprentices. he might try, but he just ends up getting annoyed and growling at them so they go away and stop bothering him

family: open, let me know if you want to add parents/siblings or even adoptive kits! he's very ferociously protective, so on the rare occasion he tolerates a kit's constant question and naivety, he'll probably overparent it or be pretty strict, unfortunately. would be super fun to rp, though!

his best to appear hyper-competent in front of the deputy as well, just for good meas
ure. when it came time for his storm trials, he prayed to starclan he had done enough.

waverunner nearly knocked him out, which would have been horrifically embarrassing.
the young tom had kept up with the warriors, yes, but he fought hard to control his b
reathing and panting afterward, holding in his coughs until he was alone and nearly wr
etched his guts out. but that was nothing compared to what happened at the end of g
rowling storm: perhaps it was the exhaustion, but more likely it was the immense stre
ss he was putting himself under, but either way it became hard to breathe just when h
e was clinging on to the halfway point of the cliff wall. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

he'd hid it through every other trial. he'd nearly managed to hide it until the very end.
but no one could doubt that there was something severely wrong when the soaking we
t apprentice didn't get up when his name was called. he'd collapsed once he reached t
he top, to the cheers of his clanmates, and stayed there, shivering and wheezing, whi
mpering frantically about a second chance at the trials. when the leader decided, aft
er some persuasion by cedarpaw's mentor and other cats sympathetic to his determina
tion, to grant cedarpaw his warrior name, it took place the following day, after he ha
d recovered enough to be told the good news.

a fast, energetic kit who's determined to live up to the "strong, brave warrior" dream. he struts through his days wit
h machismo pride, taking it upon himself to be a model warrior whenever he can--'training' to be the strongest, fight
ing invisible enemies outside the nursery, sneaking into every clan meeting to listen to the words of his leader (who
he has a deep admiration for). while genuinely steadfast to his clan and the cats in it, he is also impatient, boastful
and perfectionistic. his life itself is fast-paced because, as a apprentice and even more so as he grows older, he can
never stop pushing himself to be better, faster, more ahead of the crowd. perhaps he wants to make everyone proud;
perhaps he wants to prove everyone wrong.

rakish, proud, confident in both himself and others, he's always impossibly good-natured. he possesses an unnatural
and unwavering faith that everything will turn out the right way, and even though his optimism provides for him end

pinemask has little respect for rules and, subconsciously, always creates excuses as to why he should be the exception.
pessimistic, distrustful and sceptical of everything, notices faults before anything else. quick to criticise and scorn, h
ard to satisfy. motivated by fixing perceived wrongs rather than creating positive change. has an explosive temper and
little patience, acts on impulses and then works around the consequences. emotional and driven by feelings.

beneath his outward ferocity, we find an honour-bound rebel, incredibly passionate, with a deep, unbreakable capacit
y for love. Once attached, to a cat or an idea, will be loyal and ferociously dedicated. never willing to compromise, w
ill fight to the death for justice, a better clan, for his loved ones. always vocal about his opinions.

even yet, his true love is to his own warrior code. he will never back down for what's believed to be right, immediately
willing to throw anything, or any cat, away in order to pursue an ideal. no sacrifice is too great, no cat who isn't honou
rable is worthy.

his loyalty and fierce protection over his clan are more or less obvious, though, so he still gets along with the rest of the
clan well, aside from being known for questioning orders, snapping at kits and apprentices, or disappearing for days an
d then returning with prey and a shrug as his only explanation. in fact, to some more ambitious cats, he might acually s
eem annoying, someone to be jealous of, a bit of a show-off. he's stayed well-liked so far, but as it comes time for his f
iery opinions to emerge, all of that may be up to change. some cats might want to take advantage of the situation.

skills and aptitudes:
hunting: definitely the "traditional" warrior skill he's the best at. he likes to hunt, and finds himself in his natural environ
ment when he's able to think, take a pause, and focus by himself. it's also a very straight-forward and skill-based respons
ibility, which he enjoys: he can practice and train, and thus he gets better and can provide more for the clan.

leadership: an organised, thoughtful cat, pinemask, when given the opportunity to be in charge, can be a brisk but comp
etent leader. although his friendliness might not be his most attractive feature as a leader, he gets things done. he also w
orks better when organising a smaller group, such as a patrol or one task force. overall, someone the deputy and leader c
an trust to get the job done.

agility/speed: he run. he jump. he climb. he likes going fast and feeling like he's confusing or confounding an enemy! zoo

stealth: not really a skill, moreso he can never stay in one spot and hates crowded places, so he's practiced sneaking away
and disappearing to go on his own, self-assigned patrols.
... it's really a wonder he hasn't been thrown out the clan yet.

fighting:
--> brute strength? no. of course, he's capable, well-practiced and can fight, but he's just not the biggest or most muscular
cat. in fact, one might say pinemask is on the smaller and slighter end of the warrior spectrum. he has to get an advantag
e through other means.
--> ferocity? yes. he's absolutely fearless to a degree where some cats might call him stupid, but he likes to think of himsel
f as noble. one of his main advantages is the element of surprise: pinemask's first instinct is to fight, whether that be with
his claws or with his words. he's certainly unafraid to get physical, and once he's decided some enemy is a danger to the va
lues and cats he's loyal to, his morality justifies being merciless and ruthless.

what he does not possess:
--> medicinal skills. king cannot tell different leaves apart.
--> talking to kits or apprentices. he might try, but he just ends up getting annoyed and growling at them so they go away
and stop bothering him

romance: encouraged! his type? pretty boys. the cheerful, flirty, handsome ones who manage to catch him off guard and s
end him into a flustered mess. the ones he can and will absolutely daydream about and pad after all day, every day. the o
nes who can bring the light and support he desperately needs, and who he can dedicate him self to unwaveringly. he's com
fortable with his sexuality! always honest and open about his relationship status and if he has further ambitions with anot
her cat.

family: open, let me know if you want to add parents/siblings or even adoptive kits! he's very ferociously protective, so on
the rare occasion he tolerates a kit's constant question and naivety, he'll probably overparent it or be pretty strict, unfortu
nately. would be super fun to rp, though!

also would love if he could have a parent(s) in the clan just being like, "nuh-uh you are not chasing down those zombies"
and grabbing him by the scruff. even as a full adult.

friends, enemies: yes, yes please, pm me if you even have any sort of ideas! he definitely has more enemies than friends, th
ough. lmk if you have an ambitious cat on your hands and want to set something up :) also- for friends, he doesn't usually 'ta
lk' to people. he doesn't make small talk, never comments about your kits or gossips -- so it might take a while for him to wa
rm up to someone. the best way to be friends is to have common interests or to be motivated by a common cause.
