She sometimes comes across as angry, bitter, or even hostile to cats who don't know her well, but that's usually not her intention. She is focused on her warrior duties to try and distract from the grief of losing her father, and her number one desire is and always will be to protect her clan. Even more so after the fire, she is determined to be the best warrior in the clan and to protect it with her life. She is always eager to volunteer to go on border patrols and hunting patrols, and while she doesn't always enjoy them, she never complains when she is given tasks to do in camp.History:Silverkit had two siblings, but Mothkit was stillborn, so her mother was more protective of her two remaining kits. She was very close with her father, and always wanted to be a warrior just like him, from the time she was a tiny kit. Sometimes she would sneak out of camp to try and follow her father's patrols. Her mother usually stopped her, and always chastised her for leaving camp without permission, but she didn't listen and kept sneaking out. Luckily she never got hurt, but the clan leader finally caught her and made her wait an extra moon to become an apprentice. She finally realized that she would never become a warrior by sneaking around, and decided to be patient and wait until she was an apprentice. Her brother spent all his time in the medicine den helping Rainwatcher, so Silverkit was the only kit in the nursery most of the time. As a young apprentice, she tried to pay attention to her mentor and learn, but she was easily distracted and didn't learn much. After a couple moons trying to put up with her antics, her mentor got frustrated and made her spend a moon stuck in camp, cleaning out the dens and helping expand the Warriors' den. At first she hated it, and she hated her mentor for making her do it, but eventually she learned to be content with the dullness of being stuck in camp. She began to enjoy listening to the elders stories and playing with the kits. She often wandered near the medicine den to see if Rainwatcher or Alderpaw needed help, but they always shooed her away or asked her to fix the elder's ticks. When her mentor finally decided to try training her again, she was ready to really pay attention and learn. After a few moons of progress, she turned out to be a great hunter and a decent fighter. Before she was ready to become a warrior, her mother, Blizzardfur, got sick with greencough, and because she was already old enough to join the elder's den, she died. Silverpaw was devastated. She sat as close to her mother as Rainwatcher would allow the whole time she was sick, whenever she could be spared from training. Most of the time, Alderpaw was nowhere to be seen. Silverpaw didn't understand - how could he call himself a medicine cat if he wouldn't even treat his own mother? She was angry at him, even more so when he didn't even make an effort to be there in her dying moments. Before she died, Blizzardfur made Silverpaw promise that she would work hard and protect the clan to the death. Silverpaw promised, and from that day on she vowed to live up to her promise and her mother's expectations. She worked hard to finish her training and surprised even her mentor with her resolve, and she earned the name Silverheart for the determination she showed in the last moons of her training. Then, the fire happened. In the panic that ensued, Silverheart tried to stick close to her father, but she lost him in the flames and the chaos. When the clan regrouped at the MoonTree, Carptooth was nowhere to be found. Silverheart wanted to go look for him, but Shellstar ordered her to stay and help protect the clan. Once the blaze was out and some warriors were allowed to return to camp, Silverheart was the first to volunteer to go. They found the bodies of several clanmates along the way, and though Silverheart cared about them all, she was only focused on finding Carptooth. She found his body just outside the camp. He had a clanmate's scruff clenched in his jaw, and though neither one was badly burned, it seemed both had succumbed to smoke inhalation. Silverheart once again was devastated at the loss. Her father had always been her role model, her biggest supporter, and her best friend. She tried to reconcile with Alderpelt, thinking he would be just as upset as she was, but she was hurt by his seemingly callous attitude towards their father's death, so instead of finding comfort and solace in her last remaining family member, she grieved silently while working. She spent all her time helping her clanmates rebuild damaged sections of the camp, or finding food far away. She felt like she had failed her mother and broken her promise by letting Carptooth die in such a tragic way, and she is determined to try and make it right.

Name:
Alderpelt
Age:
26 moons
Gender:
Male
Clan:
Any Clan
Rank:
Medicine Cat/
Medicine Cat Apprentice
Kin:Father: Carptooth (died in the fire) Mother: Blizzardfur (died of greencough several moons before the fire) Siblings: Silverheart, Mothkit (stillborn)Mate/Crush:Mate: Forbidden Crush: ForbiddenFriends/Enemies:Mentor: Friends: Open
Enemies: Silverheart (sister, see history); Open Personality:Alderpelt is a good medicine cat with a close connection to StarClan. He cares for each of his clanmates as if they were his own kits. He has little tolerance for nonsense, he is very business like and therefore doesn't have many friends. He also has little tolerance for stupidity. If someone gets hurt doing something dumb, he will be the first to give them a good scolding as soon as they are well enough to hear it. He is loyal to his clan, but he is very friendly with the other medicine cats. He believes that sharing knowledge (and occasionally herbs) is a great way to keep all the clans healthy. History:Alderkit was born into the clan. He had two siblings, but one of them, Mothkit, was stillborn, so his mother was more protective of her two remaining kits. From the time he opened his eyes, Alderkit was the "black sheep" of his family. His sister was so set on becoming a warrior like their parents that the two siblings didn't have much in common. His mother always expected and encouraged Alderkit to become a warrior, but Alderkit never wanted to. Instead, while his sister was sneaking out of camp and getting into trouble, he spent most of his time in the medicine den, helping [the medicine cat] sort herbs and treat simple ailments. When the time came for Alderkit to become an apprentice, [the medicine cat] suggested that he become her apprentice. He was overjoyed that she thought he would be a good enough medicine cat to become her apprentice, and he hurriedly told his mother and sister about it. Silverkit didn't understand why he wouldn't be training with her, and she was disappointed, but their mother was almost angry that he didn't want to become a warrior. She begged [the medicine cat] not to take him on, but [the medicine cat] stood firm, so Alderkit did become the medicine cat apprentice. His father seemed indifferent, like he didn't care what Alderkit did as long as it was to serve the clan. When Alderkit was made an apprentice a moon before Silverkit, Blizzardstrike didn't even attend his naming ceremony. From that day on, he barely ever spoke to his mother. She seemed to purposely avoid him, and devoted all her time, attention, and praise to Silverpaw. Alderpaw never understood why his mother would turn her back on him just because he wanted to be a medicine cat, and he was hurt. He tried to talk to her but she would always avoid him or find some reason to leave whenever he cornered her. Finally, with a heavy heart, he gave up trying to speak with her, and decided to focus on his training as a medicine cat. When Blizzardstrike became ill with greencough, Alderpaw felt conflicted about helping treat her. He wanted to help her because she was his mother and clanmate, but he was still bitter about how she had treated him. He settled for helping indirectly whenever he could. He would gather herbs and sort them while [the medicine cat] tended to all the sick cats. When Blizzardstrike moved to the medicine den, it was harder to avoid her, and [the medicine cat] had him giving water to her and doling out catmint. Silverpaw was there all the time, it seemed, and that only added to Alderpaw's frustration. How could his mother and sister be so close, when Blizzardstrike had wanted nothing to do with him just because he was a medicine cat? As Blizzardstrike's condition worsened, Alderpaw found himself spending more and more time in the den with her, but she never made an attempt to speak to him. On the night that Blizzardstrike died, Silverpaw and Carptooth were there in the den as close as [the medicine cat] would allow. Alderpaw's frustration with his family had peaked, and he began to storm out of the den to get away from the sick and grieving cats, but Blizzardstrike called to him from her nest. He almost didn't turn around, but he forced himself to go back in. She was weak, so Alderpaw had to lean close to hear what she was saying. She asked for water. Alderpaw had to force himself not to spit in her face, but he begrudgingly gave the dying she-cat water soaked moss. He waited a minute to see if she would say anything else to him, but she closed her eyes and went to sleep. With tears in his eyes, he left the medicine den and went out into the forest. He found a small clearing in the trees and sat there looking up at the stars until dawn. When he finally returned to camp, he saw his mother's body laying in the center of camp. She had died while he was out. He didn't go over to sit vigil with her, instead, he made himself busy in the medicine den, gathering herbs to treat other sick cats. As he made his rounds through camp, cats murmured their condolences to him, but Alderpaw was past the point of caring. If his mother couldn't be proud of him, or even seem to care about him before she died, nothing he could do now would change her mind. Time went by and Alderpaw excelled at his medicine cat training, and he received his full name, Alderpelt. As he grew closer to StarClan and the medicine cats from other clans, he had grown even more distant from his sister and father, and when the fire swept through the territories and killed Carptooth, Alderpelt barely felt sorrow for his father. It was like losing just another clanmate instead of his father. Now, Alderpelt busies himself helping his mentor keep the clan healthy and watching for guidance from StarClan.

She has always been close to him, but with recent tragic events the two have become even closer. Jesper tried to keep a positive, uplifting attitude, but sometimes it's hard not to become despondent in remembering her mother.History:Jesper was born into the comfort and safety of a twoleg den. Her mother and father lived in the same den with her. She had a happy kithood, full of days spent playing with her father and nights curled comfortably at her mother's side. They never knew hunger or loneliness, because their housefolk provided everything they needed and the three cats were plenty of company for each other. The little family was happy in the safety of their housefolk's den. When the fire came to the Twoleg place, their housefolk left in a hurry and left Jesper and her family there. The three tried to stick together, but in the panic they got separated from her mother as they fled the burning nest. After the flames died out, Jesper and her father went back to the nest to try and find her mother, and they found her burnt, lifeless body nearby. Since then, Jesper and her father have teamed up to find food, scrounging for twoleg food and occasionally catching a sick or elderly mouse or bird. They look after each other now, and despite living in the ruins of their old den, they make do and are happy to have each other.

Clan:
The Dark Forest (Formerly Any clan)
Rank:
Warrior
Kin:Father: Unknown Mother: Juniperfoot Siblings: NoneMate/Crush:Mate: None Crush: NoneFriends/Enemies: Friends: Any Dark Forest warrior who will help her achieve her goal
Enemies: Starclan, all Clan cats, especially Juniperfoot and Mousefang Personality:Darktail is a bitter, hateful she cat with a grudge against the clans. She has been dead so long that she is starting to fade away, but she is determined to stick around long enough to exact her revenge. She has made herself busy plotting ever since she stepped foot in the Place of No Stars, and she is eagerly awaiting her time to strike. History:Darkkit was born into the clan to Juniperfoot, a medicine cat. Her mother was forced to tell the truth about Darkkit's birth and to give up her medicine cat duties. Juniperfoot was devastated at her punishment and distanced herself from her mistakes as much as she could. As a result, she didn't give Darkkit the love she needed, only barely caring for her physical needs. As an apprentice, Darkpaw was constantly scrutinized by her clanmates as though she would be disloyal and break the warrior code as her mother did. She worked hard to prove them wrong, but some of her clanmates never trusted her. Her mentor, Mousefang, was the worst, criticizing every wrong move she made and constantly telling her that she was no better than a rogue. She became frustrated and angry with her clanmates, but she still worked at her training and was finally given her warrior name, Darktail. Most of her clanmates finally began to trust her and stopped ridiculing her, but Mousefang still treated her like an enemy, making sly comments about whether she could be trusted and putting down her opinions. Finally, she had enough. While she and Mousefang were out on a hunting patrol, she missed a catch and Mousefang loudly commented that he thought she was trying to get away with not feeding her clanmates. Fuming with rage, Darktail attacked and killed him. As her anger subsided, the weight of what she had just done hit her. She had killed a clanmate! She quickly thought of a plan. She scratched herself in a few places, then ran back to camp, making sure to catch her pelt on brambles. She burst into camp and loudly told her clanmates that a Dawnclan patrol had crossed the border and attacked, and Mousefang sent her to fetch help. Her clanmates followed her to where Mousefang's body laid, and once they saw him they launched an attack on Dawnclan. Darktail died in the battle, and Lightclan lost. No one knew that she had killed her clanmate, but when Darktail tried to enter Starclan, they stopped her and told her that any cat who would murder a clanmate was not welcome, so she would wander the Place of No Stars forever to pay for her crime. Angry with Starclan, bitter about her death, and scared of what she would find in the Dark Forest, Darktail decided that Starclan, as well as her living former clanmates, would pay for all her suffering and pain.

Enemies: Open Personality:Carptooth was a proud warrior, always willing to put his battle skills to the test in service of his clan. Now, he watches them from Starclan, and he is usually the one to speak with Silverstar when Starclan has a message for her.History:Carpkit was born into Dawnclan to a loving mother and father. While he was an apprentice, he was a bit of a goof off and he didn't listen to his mentor. He developed a crush on a pretty she cat, Blizzardpaw, and she got him to work harder at his training. They were made warriors together, named Carptooth and Blizzardstrike. They became mates soon after, but their first litter of kits all died before they were apprenticed. Stricken with grief, Blizzardstrike refused to have any more kits. Carptooth was devastated, because while he also grieved for his dead kits, he had always dreamed of one day becoming a father and watching his kits become warriors. Many moons went by, and Blizzardstrike finally decided she was ready to try again, and she gave birth to two she cats, Silverkit and Mothkit, but Mothkit was stillborn. Blizzardstrike and Carptooth were once again forced to grieve for a kit, but they found strength in each other and in their surviving kit. She grew up to be a fine apprentice, but before she became a warrior, Blizzardstrike became ill and died, leaving Carptooth and Silverpaw to grieve the mate and mother they had lost. Carptooth made a point to involve himself more in Silverpaw's life, and she quickly became a warrior and eventually was named deputy. Carptooth was proud of her, and he was happy that after so much grief he was able to hunt and fight beside his daughter and deputy. She served her clan well as deputy, and when Oakstar lost his ninth life, Silverstar became leader in a time of conflict with Lightclan. Carptooth tried his best to advise her as both her father and a loyal warrior, but they found themselves forced into a battle for territory. Carptooth was old to be fighting, but he was proud to be there and he wouldn't be persuaded to stay behind and guard the camp. He fought skillfully and with honor, but Starclan called him to their hunting grounds after he had received a terrible wound. He wanted to stay with Dawnclan for many more moons to stay with his daughter, but it was not to be, so he now has to settle for watching his beloved clan from Silverpelt.
