Matthew is generally seen as a quiet and often distracted per-
son. Always with headphones blaring music and hands in his
pockets, it's well-known that he's in his head more often than
not, and has probably missed half of every conversation he's
been in because of it. Fidgeting hands and shifting eyes are
frequent, part of which is caused by natural high energy,
though drinking coffee constantly doesn't help it. He quickly
gets overwhelmed by multiple subjects and tends to fixate
on one or two things. While this doesn't lead to having the
best grades, it does lend to him having quite the extensive
knowledge on a few things, including video games, that he'll
talk about for hours, to the dismay of his already tired father.

oakley has always had a craving for attention. he had no family outside of
his dad, who always seemed more focused on vague business meetings than
spending time together. often, oakley would return home late to be subjec
ted to hours of his dad raving, promising that they would get out of that
neighborhood, out of that crummy building; those promises only made the
stiff sofa dig into his spine and the cold air sink into his bones more. when
the police broke into their home and dragged his dad away, oakley couldn't
feel sorry for him.
